These handcuffs are more of a good concept than a good purchase. I bought these handcuffs with good intentions of using them often; however, I was sadly mistaken because they are too painful to use. They are made out of metal, and the cuff is covered with a pink faux fur sheath. The fur is not thick enough to provide any comfort from the metal. Also, the head board of my bed is made out of wood, so I had to wrap the chain in hand towels to prevent the metal from nicking the wood. This was very inconvenient when things got heated up, and I was too worried about them ruining my new furniture, so the handcuffs never ended up staying on too long. To be honest, I could have dealt with the discomfort from the handcuffs, but it was more of a hassle than a turn on.

Aside from the product’s material cons, the handcuffs were fun to use (until it began to hurt). It was exciting to cuff up my partner or be cuffed up myself. It added a level of control for the person who was left unrestrained, especially when other toys were used as a means to tease each other. Using blindfolds on my partner while he was tied up was extremely fun for the both of us, but he was able to move his legs... I would prefer to have my partner fully restrained, and not let him wiggle around, so with that being said these handcuffs are more of a “beginner's” toy. Also, although these handcuffs come with keys, it is still easy to uncuff the handcuffs because they have a safety release latch. This was really frustrating for me (and my partner) because if I know how to let myself loose, I am going to free myself.

For my partner and I, this product really defeated the idea of being tied up because we could easily escape, and it was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we resorted to using scarves as our "handcuffs" and this toy was a waste.
