Chain Tickler from Sportsheets is a sensory toy that's not like any other! Push the feathers aside for a moment and consider this; not only can this be used as a tickler, but it can be used for temperature play as well! How many other ticklers can you say that about?

Dip the chain into a cup of hot or cold water before you trace the chain over your partner's most sensitive areas of their body. Not only does it tickle, but the temperature sensation is sure to heighten your lover's senses!

Though this toy is called a tickler, it can also be used as an impact toy. I don't think it would be a good idea to use this for really heavy play, but a good whack here and there isn't going to do any damage to your toy. It does give quite the sting, so play nice if you're not sure how your lover feels about pain.

This toy works best with a partner, since using it on yourself isn't that exciting. Add a blindfold into the mix to really give this tickler the chance to show it's full potential! Beginners will find the chain to be a great piece to try for sensory play, and more advanced users will appreciate adding a little something different to the mix!

This tickler is made with metal strands and a plastic handle. The metal rates a 9/10 on the Eden material safety scale and is made from food-grade material is non-porous, latex free, and phthalates free. The plastic rates an 8/10 and is also made from food-grade material, is hypo-allergenic, non-porous, latex free, and phthalates free.

The tickler is made up of six strands of little metal beads that look very similar to pieces you would find on some key chains and some clothing tags. Each strand has between 25-27 little beads that are spaced 1/16" apart.


They are held in place well, and no amount of tugging made the chains feel loose or come apart. They have a small rubber casing around them that covers a small part of the ball chain and is connected to the handle.


The handle is a very typical plastic handle that you find on all the ticklers that Sportsheets puts out. It's lightweight, and very flexible. It can easily be bent without breaking, but I wouldn't suggest pushing the limit because it probably could snap if you tried.


At the base of the handle is a grip that's a little bit wider than the plastic area. It's easy to hold on to, even when your hands are a little more slippery from being wet or getting lube on it. Normally the Sportsheets ticklers have the company name on the handle, but this one is totally smooth and has no marking on it.


The length of this tickler is nice because it can be used standing next to the bed that your partner is tied up, blindfolded, and laying on and they can't tell where you're going to touch them next based on your movements. The length is a positive in that sense, but can make it a little trickier to store depending on what you keep your play things in.


Though this is a very inexpensive toy, it's made quite well. If used only for tickling, this will easily last a lifetime, but if you plan on using this often and for heavier play (like flogging) it might not last as long. The handle grip is firmly in place, and the bead chain strands are held in nicely, so I don't think anything can easily happen that would make your toy become damaged.

There was no obvious smell when I received this. The handle didn't smell like anything and the chain only has a faint smell of metal, but that's to be expected from something like this.

Chain tickler is amazing when used as a sensory toy; tickling, teasing, and I especially appreciate it's ability to hold temperature so well. The chain glides easily over the body, giving you or your lover delightfully heightened pleasure.

When it comes to giving a good whack, this tickler packs quite the punch! It can hurt if you put too much power behind it, so use caution to avoid play time turning into a disaster! The chain will leave quite an interesting mark after delivering a few lighter blows, but fade pretty quickly as well.

Should you get some lubricant or bodily fluid on your tickler, it can easily be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap. Be sure to take a cloth and fully dry your tickler after you clean it and after temperature play. The metal could start to oxidize if you don't properly dry it, so don't skip that step.

When it comes to storing your tickler, there's no worry about it reacting poorly to other materials or becoming damaged which is often a concern with feather ticklers. This can be easily stored in a dresser drawer, closet shelf, under the bed storage, or in a large toy box.

This toy is compatible will all lubrication types, so there's no concern if you accidentally get some on your toy.

It would be pretty obvious what it is if someone saw it just laying there, so concealing it is necessary if you want to keep your play a secret from prying eyes!

This tickler came to me just as it is, only with a small cardboard tag attached to it. The front of the tag has an image of a couple on the front who are obviously in an adult situation, but is shown very tastefully. The top of the tag also shows the company name, and the bottom tells you what the toy is.


The front of the tag also directs you to the back of it, which tells you some 'sexy hints' on how you can use this toy with your lover.


The tag is held in place by the same type of plastic pieces that you often find clothing price tags hung by, and can easily be removed and saved or discarded as you see fit.
