Crave ankle restraints - cuffs by Spartacus - review by ShadowKitten

I've been on an EF quest of sorts...to find damn ankle cuffs that fit me, I almost came up empty, all the ankle cuffs are so short or list inaccurate measurements (something I've noticed is commonplace on EF it seems although it's more likely the manufacturers sending inaccurate information especially among collars and cuffs for both width and length).

Enter the Crave Ankle Restraints from Spartacus. While they finally accomplish my goal and are comfy to wear these cuffs have a number of flaws in my opinion though most of them are minor with an exception to one.

The Crave Ankle Restraints are purple leather cuffs lined with so-soft black faux fur and black metal hardware (sorry sensitive skin peoples, dunno if these are nickel or not though I would guess not.); they're most likely suited for people with larger than average ankles.

They measure out as 11.5" for the actual cuff portion, 14.5" from buckle to strap tip & 2" in width. The sizing holes (this is useful and rarely in other reviews on this site it seems) are positioned at 8.5" (smallest size), 9", 9.5", 10", 10.5" (my size personally or 11" loosely but secure), 11", 11.5" and 12" (largest size available); with the last two only usable with the end of the cuff not 'connecting' with the opposite end.

The leather is of decent quality but nothing fantastic, the biggest problem I had with these cuffs besides the fact that they weren't the colors I was hoping to get for myself (meh) & that the cuffs tend to slide around a fair bit due to the fur lining, was that the hardware on these cuffs are poorer than poor.

I honestly have to worry each time I fasten them on that the metal is going to snap on me. The buckle wiggles around to the point that the prong can actually escape its slot and you can do a full 360 with the extra rectangular ring (that helps the strap stay closer to the cuff).

Aside from those problems these are what I needed so I'm glad I got them as I was desperately in need of ankle cuffs that actually worked, I can even wear these (albeit a bit loose) as wrist cuffs (you may have to stick the excess strap into the extra rectangular ring as it's quite long otherwise & waves about) so these are a good value if you have larger limbs than some people.

They've held up decently but I do still worry that the cheap hardware will fail and wouldn't recommend these for anything outside of general bondage or as accessories as they are fairly pretty and very comfy to wear thanks to the fur. As a side note these do NOT lock.
