I was really excited to review this heart beat collar. It looks pretty nice in its picture, and saw positive reviews on other products from the same brand and couldn't wait to give it a try. Well, it's even better than I imagined. The hot pink color looks really sexy on most skin tones (I think) and brings out blush/rosy cheeks really nicely. It's small and pretty enough that, if it were not for my relatively private nature in real life, I would wear it all the time. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

I received yet another discreet box from Edenfantasys, and I opened it eagerly to see what kind of packaging a classy collar like this came in. The answer was... none. It was wrapped in a plastic bag with just a tag hanging off of one of the holes for adjusting the width. So, that was a bit of a surprise, but not an unwelcome one--I didn't have to worry about cutting open that sharp and obnoxious plastic packaging before getting to try out my toy.

When I tried it on, the collar fit nicely and felt flexible and comfortable enough that I didn't mind it at all--and usually I can't even wear chokers that comfortably. I was pleased with the quality of the materials--while the gems are probably plastic, and not all of them seem as well attached as they absolutely could be, I'm not worried about them falling off yet (though, do keep this in mind if you have babies or pets that might like to eat them if they do fall off), but it is a thought that is present in my mind. It's not incredibly tall, but is tall enough that there's a good balance between comfort and distribution of any stresses (from pulling/etc.) And the look is just so attractive and inherently sexy.

Let's talk about that. I looked in the mirror with this on and was just amazed. I looked hot and felt incredibly sexy. It doesn't look ridiculous or Hot Topic-y, and brought out the blush of excitement that was already on my face. When my partner saw it, he was immediately inspired to bring our conversation to the bedroom.

The collar fit me perfectly on one of the smallest fittings. Although it does expand up to 16 inches, I am not sure whether I would be able to fit this on my partner's neck because, as he says, he prefers the look on me. (And honestly, I'm perfectly happy not to share. Mine!) The "O" ring would work as a charm holder, a connector for a leash or other bondage thing, or just as a sexy reminder of those possibilities. It is very strong and sturdy, and if you take care of it, it will be there for you whenever you could possibly need it.

In short, I love it. If you are looking at it, thinking about how nice it looks but worrying about the cost of the investment, my experience suggests that you should definitely get it. I knew I would be getting something nice, but I was even surprised by just how much I like this Ruff doggie styles collar.

And then, before I finish writing, a quick warning: Always, with collars, play as safe as you can. Realize the appropriate limits for any pulling/yanking/whatever you decide you want to do, and don't put yourself or your partner in danger of strangulation or other neck problems. Sexy time should be fun time, not hospital-or-injury time.
