The falls are constructed from Faux Leather. In particular, the material is vinyl fabric. With this material you can sanitize the flogger when it comes into contact with bodily fluids.

In addition, the falls encompass the lower part of a covered wooden handle. They are held on with a wide faux leather strap wrapped around the handle and secured with a nickel free metal stud. The falls are secure and with moderate tugging they did not detach from the handle.

The handle is constructed from wood which is covered with faux leather and a spiraling inlayed chain of rhinestones. Also, the top of the handle is wrapped with additional strap which is secured with a rivet. Although the rhinestones do stick up a bit along the handle, they seem to be securely in place and should not break and fall out.

This flogger has a faux leather strap with four decorative snap like rivets. In addition, this strap is attached to a 1 ½ inch o-ring. This o-ring is great to hang your flogger from or attach it to your clothing.

Over all, this flogger is well constructed. Therefore, it should hold up to strenuous play times.

The Sex & Mischief Flogger exceeded our expectations. This is the second flogger in the line that we have purchased and we actually enjoy this one a bit more. Although we have just recently received it and not had a chance to use it more than once, we are sure it will hold up as well as our Mahogany flogger.

For the yielder, this flogger feels nice in your hands and gives a sense of power. Similarly, it has a nice light weight balance in your hand. The rhinestones do not feel uncomfortable against your hand and they did not pick on my satin gloves.

This flogger does not make a great forceful sound. Rather, the falls make a crisp slapping type sound as they cut through the air hitting against each other. The sound produced is loud enough to be mildly heard over the radio and through our bedroom door. As far as the feeling of this flogger when being stuck, it is very stingy. During my research of floggers, I found that the thinner the falls are the stingier the feel when they strike the skin. The falls are this flogger very thin at one millimeter. Furthermore, this flogger leaves red stripes across your skin when using it with a heavy moderate force.

In contrast, when then the flogger is used in an underhanded circling type motion, the sensation is less stingy and more firm as the falls brush across the skin. In addition, when the flogger is used in this fashion the red marks left behind are minimal. Over all, we have found that this method of flogging is our ideal suggestion for using the Jeweled Flogger.

Unfortunately, due to the long falls, beginners may find that it is hard to control the placement of the falls when striking your submissive. Often, if not careful, the falls will wrap around their limb or body causing the impact to be in an unwanted area. To ensure that this is not the case when you use this flogger, I suggest taking some time to practice your placement of the falls and the angle used for the whip. Ideally, strikes should be at a 45 degree angle.

In my opinion, this product scores a 5 for its design, craftsmanship, and how the falls feel when being used.

This flogger is vinyl; therefore, care and maintenance is not difficult. For minor soils, such as dirt and dust, it can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Also, to sanitize the falls, after coming into contact with body fluids, it is safe to use 10% bleach and water mixture. Always make sure the falls are completely dry before storing.

In addition, to protect the falls against bends and cracks, it is always best to store floggers hanging. For us, we choose to store our flogger on a hanger in the closet and this one is particularly easy to store with the attached o-ring.
