Nickel Handcuffs: Solid and Shiny
For the price and the quality, these handcuffs are a great buy, especially if you're curious and haven't tried them before. Just take the time to play with it and learn the restrictions of the handcuffs, and enjoy!Published: August 5, 2008
Pros:
The weight and feel...mmmm. Double-locking switch.
Cons:
Ratchets do "stick" a little, so you really have to push to lock the handcuffs.
There really is nothing to spice up a romp in bed like a shiny pair of handcuffs. At least, in my opinion. So I eagerly opened my latest package from EdenFantasys with these Nickel Handcuffs waiting inside.
Now, I've had the opportunity to use Smith and Wesson handcuffs before, so the bar was already set high for this pair. I was not disappointed. They have a nice weight to them, the kind that settles into your wrists (or ankles!) so that you can still feel their presence after you've been freed from them. And they are cold to the touch at first, but will warm up to your body temperature with time.
A nice feature that these handcuffs have is an external switch to double lock the handcuffs, preventing them from closing tighter and chafing the skin. The switch has to be flipped back down in order to unlock the handcuffs with the key. The switch and key take getting used to, so just make sure you play around with them and get comfortable locking and unlocking the handcuffs before diving in (and if with a partner, make sure they do the same).
A key note to mention: these handcuffs are pretty much the real deal. There is no padding, no fluff, no decoration. They will leave marks on your wrist after a while (and depending on the activities involved), and they are not meant for comfort. But after all, that's just part of the fun, right?
These handcuffs are a perfect accessory to your cop/victim or kidnapping roleplay fantasies, or just to add a bit of cold hard metal to a night of fun in the sack. They also look great as a Halloween accessory or in a photoshoot. For whatever reason you may want a pair of handcuffs, these will fit the bill.
Just remember to always know where the keys are, and make sure your partner or a close friend knows where the spare is!

Quote: i like these but never used them are there a chance you'll get them on and then can't get them open?lollol, i completely understand your concern, and there are times where you might have to struggle to get them off (without a key and by only using the safety button) but I've never had a problem with not being able to get them off at all. I hope that answers your question. :D

I'm allergic to nickel so I wouldn't but these again. When I did own them though, I had trouble opening them and they rubbed my skin raw really easy. I ended up giving them to an ex and haven't thought twice about it. EF carries better quality cuffs that won't have these issues. It's worth looking around.

Thank you for viewing Nickel handcuffs – sex toy review page!

The double-locking feature is a good safety feature- one of the main concerns with metal handcuffs is the possibility of tightening. The other, however, is possible nerve and circulation damage. Also, metal handcuffs are harder to get off in an emergency/lost key situation, since safety scissors won't cut them. Things to be aware of with these!
Metal handcuffs are very sexy, but the possible harm involved means that I only use mine for looks, not for actual restraining. I have a separate set of leather wrist restraints for that purpose.
Good tips on getting used to them before actual use
Pain is pleasure.
