The Sex and Mischief Red and Black Stripe Flogger is a great product for someone who is just starting to get into S&M play. It is lightweight and easily handled, so it is good for determining how much pain you and/or your partner can handle.

Flogging can be very exciting if done properly. The best places to whip are the buttocks, thighs, and meatier areas of the back. You want to avoid hitting the spine or other sensitive areas because it may cause damage. Just remember to play responsibly.

The design is typical for a flogger. There is a strap that wraps around your wrist, a handle to hold on to, and a total of 18 cattails. Most of the flogger is comprised of vinyl; this includes the wrist strap, coating of the handle, and the tails. Under the vinyl wrapping, the handle is made of a lightweight wood.

Vinyl is easily bent, so when I took the flogger out of the box, there were some creases in it. All I had to do was lay the flogger flat and place books (or some other object with some weight to it) on top of the tails. In a short period of time, the creases were completely gone.

The total length of the flogger measures 32 inches. The strap is 4.5 inches, the handle is 5.5 inches, and the tails are 22 inches.

Since this flogger is long and not heavy, it is good for people of all experience levels. The length also makes it easy to determine how much pain you and/or your partner will enjoy. The most pain is inflicted when the end of the tails meet flesh; it feels like a stinging heat. Additionally, closer hits tend to have more strength to them.

Keep in mind that even if you don't feel too much pain right away, you will most likely feel the sting later on. If hit somewhat hard, you will be left with red marks afterwards. Due to the weight of this flogger, you should not be left with open cuts or heavy bruising (unless, of course, the person doing the flogging is very experienced and uses full force).

This flogger is very easy to care for. If you need to clean it, which you really shouldn't have to do often, just use a bit of antibacterial soap and water or even baby wipes.

For storage, you can wrap the tails around the handle or neatly fold them; you can then place the flogger in a drawer or something of the sort. Otherwise, you can hang the flogger up by the wrist strap.

Although this flogger may not be extreme enough for some, different techniques of hitting lead to various results and levels of pain. If you are new to S&M, I suggest you start slowly and test your/your partner's limits over several sessions.
