Not quite blind

This is a good inexpensive, pretty blindfold or sleep mask. It doesn't fit well and won't work well for those with smaller heads but overall, it's not a bad product, especially for the price.

Use

This is a fairly simple satin blindfold. While it will work well for light BDSM users, it is also not by any means unsuitable for use as a sleeping mask or any other reason for which you might wish to use a blindfold. It's simple and not overtly sexual. It has 2 elastic straps making it fairly secure and it is well lined and lightly padded.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

The shape is a barely contoured oval. It would block more light and be more effective with a bit more contour or shape to it to allow for the shape of the wearer's nose and facial structure. The satin has a nice feel to it, but the material around the outer edge of the blindfold feels thin and cheap. It's also single stitched and has some strange folds in the material that suggest less than great craftsmanship. For most users, the size of the elastic bands will probably be fine. For me, however, who is very petite, the bands are too loose.

Performance

It's not snug since the bands are a bit too loose and because the shape is not well contoured, so it does not block all light. Certainly it keeps me from seeing what is directly in front of me, but doesn't keep me in total darkness. Light doesn't pass through the blindfold material itself, but rather creeps around the edges and I can see below the bottom edge of it.

Care and Maintenance

I'm not sure how well the satin will wash, which is a concern for me since crying into a blindfold is a favorite activity of mine in bdsm scenes. I feel like it will water mark easily, but to be fair, I haven't tried. Storage isn't much of a concern. Keep it away from pet hair. It's not terribly necessary to hide it from visitors or the like since it could easily be a sleeping mask.

Packaging

It comes in a fairly simple cardboard envelope. The packaging is not discreet since it says "Sex&Mischief" right on the front and has what might be the opening sentences to a BDSM story on the back. There are no use or care instructions included.

Personal comments

Personally, I'd prefer slightly thicker padding, a cotton inner lining against my face and tighter elastic bands. Those with small heads like mine may find that the bands are too loose to fit the mask snuggly.
Follow-up commentary
I've considered having this blindfold altered to fit better but I'll probably never go to the trouble. Alas. I don't know if I'll ever find one I really love. This might be a nice blindfold for someone whose head isn't child-sized.
