Clamps of disappointment
I found these very disappointing. If you're really looking for some nice vibrating nipple clamps, look away! They were basically a little broken when I got them, and the vibrators don't always turn on. Such a shame.Published: November 14, 2010
Pros:
They vibrate. Sometimes.
Cons:
Gel pads fell off, packaging annoying, moody vibe.
I'm like a little kid when I get things in the mail, so when I knew these were on their way, I was real excited. I ripped open the package as soon as I could, and the first thing I did was pinch open one of these little clamps. That was when it started sucking.
The first real observation I had of these clamps, was that as soon as I pinched one open, one of the little gel pads inside the clamp stuck to the other, and I even got a nice glimpse of the cheap glue used making a sticky string between the fallen off pad and the metal clamp. Great.
Then, I go to wrestle with the plastic package to pop out the many tiny batteries to power these broken things on. The batteries are shoved into this little plastic pocket in the package, and then taped in, so that getting them out, you end up with batteries all over and tape on your fingers. Fun!
Finally, I got the batteries in, and started cranking the little metal dial to spread the clamps apart a little so that I could try them on. That's when two more gel pads fell off into my lap. I realized that by twisting the little metal nob, it wiggled the pad on the other side of the clamp just enough to wiggle the thing off.
I managed to adjust them as I wanted and then placed the gel pads back on the inside of the clamps and tried them on. It was okay, but the gel pads don't cover the exposed metal around the clamps, so it still wasn't very comfortable. I imagine after a few good minutes of use, they might leave little semi-circles of indentation on nipples.
The vibrations aren't very strong, but on my sensitive nipples, it was almost a little exciting. However, my nipples probably wouldn't complain to get something a little stronger, either.
Sometimes these clamps don't vibrate at all. I put them on and pressed the little button to get one of them to turn on, and.... nothing. They just hung there. I wiggled it around and even twisted the base off and on again to shift the batteries around inside. I gave up and took them off and put them on a table... where the dead one turned on!
All in all, I was pretty disappointed with these. When they are turned on, they're not too bad, except for the lack of gel pads. But, I haven't totally given up yet.. I'm going to try to glue the gel pads back on and give them another few tries. Ah well!

Honestly, I was just too disheartened with these. They've sat in a box somewhere.. I may try to use them again some day, but they were a disappointment from the start.

Good review. I'd like to know how heavy they are?
Thats wasn't a fun experience, do tell us how it goes once you try to adjust the gel pads. Maybe the vibrating problem will fix itself.
Lauren, they're pretty light.. I'm not really sure how I'd weigh them, but they're less than a pound, for sure.. I think. Hope that helps o.O
