Bound by diamonds ankle cuffs by Cal Exotics - review by Lustful Dreams

When I had received the Bound by Diamonds Ankle Cuffs, I was extremely excited. This was my first set of ankle cuffs so I was very anxious to give them a try. Unfortunately, I never did get a chance to use them in action, but I definitely got a feel for what these were all about.

When I opened the package and looked at my brand new, first ever pair of ankle cuffs I was confused! Sure, I knew they went on your ankles, I knew they tied up and restrained your legs wherever you wanted them to go. I don't have any other form of restraint system, so my only option was to put them clipped to each other.

The cuffs themselves are made of PVC material. It's a stiff, shiny, harder vinyl. The edges are fairly sharp for being a restraint product. The cuff itself has a ribbon that goes across and past the length. In the middle of the cuff there are two slits, which have been decorated with rhinestone "diamonds" in double rows on both sides. The ribbon has been fed through underneath the diamonds, through the slits. In between the two slits where the ribbon is fed through holds a clasp and a d-ring.

I began to restrain my ankles with what no longer seemed like ankle restraints at all. I'm a plus size woman, and I was surprised that the cuff did fit my ankles. Unfortunately, the design of the cuff itself made it extremely comfortable. I had to overlap the one end of the cuff on top of the other. You're then supposed to tie the ribbon around the overlapped ends of the cuff to secure it. I tied the ribbon and realized instantly that it wasn't tight enough to keep the cuff closed. I repositioned the cuff and retied it. I had to tie it extremely tight to ensure that the body of the cuff was unable to shift and become undone leaving just the ribbon tied with the cuff hanging down.

My ankles became extremely sore. Anytime I flexed my foot the sharp edges of the cuff cut in to the back of my heel. My skin was very red and irritated after taking them off. All I was doing is sitting with them on my ankles! I couldn't imagine trying to have fun while wearing these. The movement alone would cause enough irritation and pain to kill the mood instantly. Not to mention that because the material is so hard and non-breathable I ended up with a heat rash on top of it.

I couldn't imagine the fun of using this product to secure my own, or my fiance's ankles together. Come to think of it, I honestly don't believe these would have fit properly or been able to properly been able to be secured on my fiance's ankles.

While having this product on, I pulled my legs apart. Instantly the ribbons stretched out and became warped at my "struggle". They stretched more and more with every movement. What was worse is with every pull and tug the ends of the cuff that were overlapping became lose and undone. So much for it being a restraint product.

I'd say this product would be great for show, and strictly that. Just make sure no one looks too closely, they're not that great looking either. Poorly made. Cheap materials. Cheap "diamonds". They are nice to look at if you were to use them as a prop. If you wanted a sexy way to surprise your partner with them finding you "bound" this would be a good product - but don't expect to be able to use them after they find you as a restraint.

This would be a good product for a beginner that isn't looking for full bondage just yet. Maybe you just want to test the waters and see what it feels like to have your legs tied together so you can't move them away but not necessarily feel restrained and unable to move completely. I wouldn't recommend them to advanced users though.

This is still an awful product. I can honestly say I've tried to use it again but they just caused pain. Anytime I moved my ankles I got a piece of plastic cut in to my heel. These are definitely not the cuffs for me. I will not be purchasing any other products in this line.
