The normal use for ball gags is to restrict talking, cause humiliation by drooling, be used as a punishment, etc. I would have to say the best use for this ball gag is to practice for the real deal. For the price, this is a decent ball gag. It allows the user to breath through the holes. This is great for a beginner who might not be ready for a solid ball gag, or a pro who has the sniffles. The ball is a bit on the smaller side itself, making it a good place to start to get used to that feeling in your mouth.

If you are looking for a gag to silence or truly put a submissive in their place, look else where. For the rougher BDSM scenes, this gag allows too much freedom. This is not an intimidating piece of of equipment, but quite nice to have on hand.

The box says this ball gag's leather strap measures at 10 inches. The longest strap on the ball gag is almost 14 inches and the other sits at 10 inches. This ball gag is great for people with large necks, or big heads. I on the other hand, had to use the very last hole, and it still can slip out of my mouth if I am not biting down or paying attention.

The design for this ball gag is quite simple. Black leather straps, a soft liner on the inside (possibly mink or an off velvet), and solid silver o-rings connecting the ball bit. The ball reminded me of whiffle balls from elementary school, but this ball is solid rubber. You can remove the ball from the leather straps, but at the cost of the integrity of it's o-rings. This is not something you should do unless you absolutely have to.

Now, some of the other reviews talk about a taste, but I didn't taste anything when this gag was in my mouth. I do concur that the smell was overwhelming. As soon as I opened the box I could smell the rubber from the ball. The smell does calm down a bit over time, but never truly goes away.

This is a decently made product. There is a visible seam on the top of the ball, but because of placement it shouldn't be a problem. The leather can hold up to regular play, just being used as a ball gag. It can become warped and strain easier then most, so be careful how roughly you handle it. After just a few wears, the leather outside started to crease and indent depending on where a grip was held. Try not to let your partner grab at the back of it too much.

I found that even for the smell and not being able to control the direction of drool, that I do like this ball gag. I am not fond of breathing through the nose, so the gag allows me the freedom of breath while still being submissive. The soft liner on the inside is gentle against my face and neck, does not chaff my skin at all. It is comfortable enough that you can have in on for quite some time and not hurt your skin.

Since I use the last hole in the strap, this leaves a lot of strap hanging off. This extra bit can be used by your partner to control your head. I found this to add an extra level of passion to our kink, but it does stretch out the strap. We keep this to a minimum as not to damage the leather to hard.

It uses a buckle to close the straps together. You can get it on yourself, but I found it a bit tricky to work with my hair in the way. Sometimes I just wear this around the house doing chores. This gets me used to it and broke the leather in quite nicely.

Cleaning this ball gag is a bit tricky. Since the ball cannot be easily removed from the straps, you have to pay attention to what you are doing. I would suggest running the rubber ball under hot water. This will allow the inside of the ball to be cleansed as well, seeing as wipes can't get inside.

You can wipe the outside leather down with a damp cloth, but I would be careful with the inside. It's made of a soft liner, so you don't want to soak this item. If you must douse this gag, remember to let it dry naturally without intense heat as to avoid damaging the leather.

Do not store this item where it gets too hot, because it will damage the leather outside. I would suggest not placing it somewhere cold because the metal will get you once you put it on. I tuck this gag in my Flogger Case XL,link, and it does the trick quite nicely.
