The Fury cock ring by Gear Essentials is a metal cock ring designed to be worn around both testicles and the penis shaft. In theory, the purpose of wearing a c-ring is to prolong erections, increase the size of erections, and possibly increase duration of climax. Some guys wear them because of the pleasurable sensations they might create, some wear them as a form of body art. For some, all of the above may be true. For others, none of the above may hold true. Each guy is wired differently, and only will find out which applies to him by giving one a try.

We have had very limited experience using silicone cock rings which fit around both ball and shaft. Usually it is recommended that those who use a ring made of metal be a more advanced user, but it worked out quite well for us even with our limited exposure to non-vibrating cock rings. The most important thing to remember is that, when it comes to metal, one size does not fit all.

The Fury cock ring is made of solid stainless steel. Because of this, it is extremely rigid and has no give. Stainless steel is not porous, which makes cleanup a breeze. You can easily clean it by washing in any manner you prefer, and giving it a quick dry. Also, you need not be concerned about what type of lube you use, as no lube will damage it.

This ring has a brushed finish and is completely smooth and seamless. Upon examination, we could not find any nicks, rough spots, or seams.

Eden Fantasys carries the Gear Essential Fury cock ring in either a 1 7/8" or 2" diameter. In our case, we ordered the ring with the 2" diameter. It measures exactly 2" for the inside diameter, with an outside diameter of just under 2 3/4." The depth measures right at 15/16," which is one of the deepest rings carried by Eden.

The weight of this ring is listed as 1 Lb on Eden's page, but Gear Essentials' website lists it at 9 oz. We do not have a scale which would accurately show the weight of this ring, so all I can honestly say is that the weight is quite impressive! When holding it in my hand I would have guessed it to be well over a pound, but once on, the weight is perfect. Worn around both the shaft and testicles, the weight is against your body and is actually very comfortable.

We were both impressed by the design of this ring. It appears to be two rings fused seamlessly together, something you might expect to find in a fine jewelry store. The insides of the ring are beveled, so there are no sharp edges.

The most important thing to remember when purchasing a metal cock ring is size. Because of all the horror stories about the inability to remove the ring, you want to make sure it is not too small. Also, it may be difficult, or impossible, to put on a cock ring which is too small. You also want to make sure it is not too large. If it is too large, you cancel many of the reasons for wearing one - firmer erections, heightened orgasms, and the pleasant sensation of just wearing one. To find your correct size, measure around both the shaft and scrotum, using either a soft tapemeasure or string. I did this several times, and came up with an average of just under 6 1/2." Divide this by 3.14 to find the diameter. In my case, I came up with a little over 2." Since the Fury came no larger than 2," we went with that size...and it fits perfectly.

This ring came packaged in a discrete metal case. The case is padded on both the top and bottom, which makes it perfect for storage.

No information is included as far as how to put on a cock ring, which would have been nice. There is also no disclaimer or information included as to how long you can safely wear the Fury cock ring.

There seems to be some debate on how long you can safely wear a cock ring. The general rule of thumb seems to be that they should not be worn longer than 30 minutes. I agree completely with this when using a silicone ring, but am not so sure about time when wearing a metal ring. A silicone ring is much like a rubber band, while the cock ring is much like a ring you wear on your finger. If properly sized, and no pain or discomfort is present, I can wear this ring for a much longer period of time. I checked Gear Essentials website and no mention is made concerning time worn.

My first thoughts when I opened the package was that this thing just isn't going to work. It seemed so heavy, and with the depth of the ring close to 1," there is no way I will be able to stuff everything through it. Like most guys, I had to give it a try as soon a possible. Having read many reviews on putting on a cock ring, I had a basic idea of what I was doing, or at least I thought I did. Putting on a cock ring is a learning experience, so just take your time, and find out what works for you. After several attempts, the process which works for me it to first pull a bit of skin though the ring on the right side, and the right testicle can be pushed though the ring. Next, I pull as much of the remaining scrotal skin through the ring, which allows the left ball to be pushed though. Then, after applying lube to the flaccid penis, fold it down and insert it through the ring. Pull the penis all the way through, adjust the ring against your body, and bingo, it's on!

I was surprised at how comfortable the ring feels once on. It gives a snug, pleasurable sensation around the balls and cock which I have not experienced before.

I gave it several tries before introducing my wife to it. Needless to say, it did not take her long to notice it, and I was quite surprised by her reaction. She liked the appearance of it, and also was impressed by the erection it enhanced. While there was no noticeable increase in length, the girth of my erect cock appeared to be larger than normal, which she confirmed once it was inserted in her. The ring did not really increase the duration of sex, but it definitely extended the time of orgasm by maybe an additional 5 seconds or so. An added benefit was that my erection remained after ejaculation, and we were able to continue until she had an additional orgasm.

Removal of the ring was quite simple, and I found that the easiest way for me to remove it was to remove one testicle first, and the remaining ball and cock easily slid out.

I should also add that I have suffered from ED for many years. While the ED medications help out, more times than not my erection would start to fade before orgasm. Since using the Fury ring, we have not had that happen even once. Maybe these should be covered by insurance!

So, overall, I cannot find anything negative to say about this cock ring. My only regret is that we waited so long to try one.
