Paddle hand by Doc Johnson - review by Miss Francy

Okay, the Paddle Hand is hilarious looking. Even though it's black leather with red stitching, it still is basically a HAND on a stick! Which is funny. But I've given it quite a few test drives and I can assure you; your butt won't think it's all that amusing. It actually does pack quite the wallop. My victims (albeit, deliriously happy victims) report back to me that, in a weird way, it actually does feel like a hand on your butt, as opposed to a paddle. The fingers are not floppy by any means, but they are a bit still flexible, as they don't have any "boning" under the leather, and they sort of move a bit when leather meets flesh. Also, unlike most paddles, it's got a sting going on there rather than a thud. Yeee-oouch!

Clearly, it's got a fun feel, and I think it's perfect for newbie spankers who haven't figured out how to spank yet without hurting the hell out of your hand in the process. And for the newbie spankee who's a little nervous about the future fate of his or her buttocks; well, it might make the whole event seem like a lark of sorts. It can definitely take the onus off the proceedings, especially if the newbie is squeamish about the scarier looking implements like canes, floggers and riding crops.

As for how to use it, at first I thought it would be too long to use in the OTK (Over The Knee) position but, NO, I was able to choke up on the handle a bit and it worked JUST fine. But it does come into its own when the spanker can stand and walk around. This would assume that the spankee ("naughty person of the day") would have to be in one of a variety of positions; bent over a chair, sofa, bed or bench, hands on knees, hands on floor (only for the really limber Pilates set) or, if you are less domestic and more dungeon, tied to a cross. This way the spanker can really have the freedom to wind up and follow through with a lot more power behind the swing. Hmm ... sounds like Tiger Woods talk!

A nice approach is to use it in the warm-up stage and then revisit it down the line with a lot more oomph behind it. The really neat thing about it is that you can spank (or be spanked) pretty softly with it for fun and giggles, or, since it does have that comical air about it, you can pull a con and act all silly and then surprise the bent-over person with an unexpected spanking from hell! Or heaven. Depends upon your perspective, doesn't it?

I wouldn't recommend it if you're a hard-core player and need to reach a really high pain intensity level, but it's really great for couples experimenting, play parties and as a fun way to change things up for the jaded.
