What walks, talks and acts like patent leather while being vegan-friendly? The Black Cat Collar! Aslan Leather makes some of the best leather products around and the Black Cat Collar is no exception despite it being vinyl. Made from beautiful, shiny, black patent vinyl and studded with flat studs, this locking collar will be a great addition to your bondage or kink repertoire.

The collar arrives to you flat in a plastic bag. When you take it out of the bag, you'll need to reform it in a proper circle. It will probably take some time to get back in shape, and you'll more than likely need to wear it for it to be perfect. Laid out flat, this collar is just under 20 inches, including the piece where that inserts into the latch. The collar is 1 1/2 inches wide and is a little wide for day to day wear unless you're comfortable with that kind of look. There are two layers to this collar, the wider 1 1/2 inch lower piece and the narrower piece on top that's 3/4 inch wide. This piece secures the triangle in the middle and is riveted to the wider piece with 11 round, flattened rivets. These rivets are smooth and don't catch on the skin at all, but do go all the way through the collar.

The center triangular ring has a large diameter round ring to which other things can be attached, like leashes or rope. The round ring is just over 1 1/2 in diameter and is quite a heavy piece of metal. It's permanently soldered together so there's little chance you'll ever lose it unless the two pieces of leather come unriveted on one side of the ring. With 5 or 6 rivets on either side of the ring, I don't see this happening.

This collar is highly adjustable for people of many neck thicknesses. There are 7 different slots pre-cut into the collar to lock it into the closing mechanism. For someone like me with a very tiny neck, I use the first or second space. This collar can go as small as 16 inches around or as long as 19 inches. When it does close, the piece that slips through the leather has a round opening, the perfect place to put a lock if you wish to wear this collar as a locking one. No chance this thing will get off someone's neck if you don't want it to.

What I like about this collar is that it's vinyl and not leather. No worries about killing animals for your collar. I have other vinyl pieces in my kinky wardrobe and they smell horrible, but thankfully this collar doesn't. No nasty vinyl smell that you may get with lesser quality manufacturers. Aslan only makes quality products and they won't settle for less. This material is also non porous and latex free for those with allergies.

As far as cleaning this if body fluids, lubricant or other materials get on it, wipe it down with a damp cloth. I wouldn't suggest leather cleaning products because ... well, it's not leather. Aslan products come with a lifetime warranty and if any Aslan product should ever break, there's information on the tag attached to the collar when it comes to send it to Aslan for repair or replacement. This is a company that stands behinds their products.
