My opinions of this specific tickler are not of the highest regard. The length of the stick allows for more movement of the feather with less effort. The two peacock feathers happen to be very fragile and would benefit greatly if the stick size was cut in half. This would allow for gentile strokes to happen more easily.
Two of the main benefits of this feather in particular is its beauty and its unique feeling. The longer feathery strands produce a stronger, bumpy feeling yet they are slightly soft. This part of the feather can be twirled a little. The eye of the feather and it's top point creates the best sensation for the peacock feather. The strands become completely smooth with tiny feathers and produces a soft feeling that is meant to be directed and traced a long the body.
The peacock feather's colors are wonderful. Every tiny little strand of feather glows in the sunlight. There are mostly vibrant greens. The eye of the feather has a very deep golden brown, blue, black, and hint of purple. The off set of the feather's colors is a darker brown that even almost looks black. This feather gives off an exotic or even royal appeal.
One negative aspect is the feather feels fragile. During the first week of owning this feather one of the strands have broke in half. It was devastating because I didn't know what I did or when it happened. Since then this feather hasn't been used except for special occasions. Keep it as a precaution to be careful. Other feathers when they get damaged a little they don't show it as much, the peacock feather will not recover as well if many strands are breaking. In other words the feather doesn't have a lot of fluff to hide mistakes. On the upside this feather in general is still in tacked and looks wonderful.
Size specifics:
Stick length: 12 inches
Handle Length: 3 1/2 inches
Stick and Handle Length: 15 1/2 inches
Feather length: 6 1/2 inches
Feather width: 2 inches
Total Length: 22 inches
Number of feathers: 2
The feather that I own isn't even close to being as long as the peacock feather shown in the photo. Their length came out to be 26 inches meaning my feather is 4 inches shorter.
Nice review, thanks!
Very good review!
This looks nice - too bad it's fragile.
Nice review!
Very cute feather. I've been thinking about expanding my collection with some new ticklers, but I haven't done it yet. Thanks for the review, though.
Very good review!
Yeah, I kinda dislike the fact that it is fragile. It still is a good feather. I'm going to wait a while and see how well it holds up. Then I'll update the review at a later date.
In your opinion are ticklers really worth it? Dont you think other things around the house can easily substitute in a pinch?
It really depends on the person and what kind of sensation they would like. I don't have anything as soft as a feather within my home. Other objects can create great sensations. I bet creative minds can find things that will work out in the moment. It's all in the imagination.
For me personally touch is a really big deal. My whole body is ticklish. The more ticklish an area is the more sexual/ a turn on it can be. So, feathers have become a beneficial part of my sexual life. Never thought about ever trying them till my partner introduced them. He wasn't very surprised I liked them so much. He isn't ticklish at all and they don't do anything for him. So, I believe feathers may be hit or miss with some people and couples.
I was thinking about getting the book Erotic Tickling sometime. It might be a while, but I can get back to you about what they might suggest in their items for around the home.
