Lacy pearl ankle cuffs by Cal Exotics - review by mpfm

When I saw these lacy pearl cuffs I knew I had to have them. They are obviously not meant for serious bondage, moderate bondage, and even mild bondage would be tricky. They are just cute frou frou ankle cuffs for pretend bondage play. You might wonder why I was so excited about frou frou cuffs. Well, I'll tell you. My husband has a foot fetish. He loves ankle bracelets and anything that relates to feet. I knew they would be a hit here. Neither my husband or I were disappointed.



Materials/Design

The cuffs are made from black lace. They actually resemble wedding garters worn on your thigh. Of course these are black (not wedding white) and not big enough to wear up on your thighs. The other difference from a thigh garter is that they open and close with a velcro strip. So basically you have two velcro ankle cuffs that resemble thigh garters.

The black lace is soft and comfortable. It is not itchy at all. There is also a black satin ribbon sewn on it. They are very pretty, feminine, and delicate. The cuffs have a band of elastic sewn on it so it stretches comfortably. Laid flat the cuffs measure about 9 inches with another 2 inches of velcro. The elasic helps them to stretch more if needed. They fit my ankles fine and were very comfortable. They also could be used on wrists, but the velcro is a bit long for that. The extra velcro hangs over the cuffs, but they are still functional on wrists.

The cuffs are permanently joined by a strand of pearls. The pearls are small at about 1 cm each. The strand has 45 pearls and is about 9.5 inches long. The pearls are hooked at the satin bow. It's a cute look, but the pearls are also what makes this set so fragile. I can't imagine that they will last long. At some point they are going to rip right off the cuffs. At this point I think the cuffs will still be usable. They could be hooked to D-rings, or joined by satin sashes or rope. I have red sashes that I think will work well to join them together. Of course, they could just be worn as ankle bracelets. My husband won't mind if I wear them like that.

Packaging

These were packaged in a large box measuring 9.25 x 4 inches. I was perplexed as to why they were in such a big box. You could have easily fit half a dozen cuff sets in the box. I guess maybe they wanted the product noticed on a store shelf. Anyway, the box is not discrete at all. It features a modestly posed yet still naked woman wearing only the cuffs and black pumps. There are no directions, but I don't think the product needs any.

I matched these with some nice lacy black lingerie and a fresh pedicure. My husband was very appreciative as expected. I did need to be careful wearing these. I want the pearls to stay intact as long as possible. They worked best just to show off a bit. We ended up having them hooked to only one ankle so I had full mobility. That worked fine for our purposes.

I still like these, although I have to be careful with them. They have made it through multiple wearings, but we are careful with them. They work for us because husband is enthralled with all things foot related. They are a nice frou frou foot decoration but not much else.
