These clover or butterfly style nipple clamps are intense. The kind of sensation they provide when attached to one's nipples is far different than any other clamps I have experienced -- far more of a "sharp" (although due to the padded tips, not actually sharp) pinching sensation than the "squeezing" sensation I have had from other clamps.

Absolutely not for beginners, they are strict, tight, and when you pull on the chain, they get tighter rather than pulling off. If you're looking for some more intense sensations to add to your BDSM experiences, this is an item you should consider. Due to the tightening caused by pulling the chain, more advanced players could have fun adding weights to these (slowly) or using them in bondage scenes.

As for other body parts you could use them on -- I have experienced them on my labia as well, and... Owwww! Definitely work up to that -- I had them on for a few seconds before I was begging for them to come off. I could see it as being fun, though.

They are made out of metal with small rubbery tips, and thus can easily be cleaned should you get anything on them (though I don't know how likely it is that you will, unless you're clamping the nipples of someone who is covered in chocolate or something). The easiest way to clean an item like this is with a warm soapy washrag, and then dry as soon as possible to prevent possible rusting.

The black (they also come in shiny chrome) is a very sexy, matte black that will look great with anybody's fetish collection. The chrome has an almost medical look to it.

They are well-constructed with no rough or sharp edges, a nice weight to them and no ouchy seams anywhere. The chain links are all correctly closed and do not scrape or poke, which is nice when you or your partner is handling or pulling it.

The clamp mechanism works very smoothly, and they are quite easy to put on and take off -- much like using a pair of pliers.

They are about 3" long by 1.5" wide, so the clamps themselves are quite large -- if you are looking for something to wear under clothing, look elsewhere. But I personally like the look quite a bit, and for serious shirts-off play the large clamps make quite a striking statement.

The chain which connects them is approximately 12" long, so if your breasts are widely spaced or very large, or if you have a wide chest you may have difficulty getting these to work on you without taking off the chain. But for most people, these will work fine and leave you plenty of chain to play with, without there being too much chain.

Like I said before these are quite advanced in terms of how intense they are -- tight, constant, strict pressure pinching the nipple. They get tighter when you pull the chain and return to "standard" tightness when you let it go -- they do not remain at the level of tightness granted by pulling. To maintain a more intense tightness, instead of pulling, you could attach a weight of some kind to the chain -- but be cautious when doing this. Always know your limits; these can go from "intense" to "safeword" very quickly.

They are not "adjustable" in terms of how tightly they clamp, but they do open quite wide and close completely, so whether you have large or small nipples, getting these clamps on should not be a problem. I am large of nipple and have worn them and so has my partner (who has... well... small male nipples), and neither of us had a problem getting them attached.

The rubbery pads at the tips where they clamp your nipples are comfortable (as comfortable as tight, strict, intense nipple clamps can be), so there is no unwanted pinching by sharp metal, just the intense grip of the clamps.

Due to how large the actual clamps are, they're not discreet at all to wear/use. However, like most nipple clamps and the like, they can be stored almost anywhere (we hang them from a hook on the wall with the bondage toys) easily.

I suppose they could be travel friendly, but I'd pack them in a suitcase to avoid weird looks from people scanning your carry on bag.

They came packaged in a plastic blister pack which is recyclable. The card inside read "SPARTACUS ENDURANCE BUTTERFLY NIPPLE CLAMPS" and had a picture of a sexy bare-chested man on the front. In other words, not exactly discreet packaging, but whatever -- if you're buying nipple clamps, theoretically you're of the mindset that you don't need them labeled as "desktop photo holding aids" or something.

The packaging isn't really good for storage, so just toss it in the recycle bin and hang these up to store or put in your favorite small-items storage area.

I love these things. As a fan of intense nipple play, I've used the tweezers, clothes pins, alligator-style clamps, and other similar devices, but these offer an entirely different sensation. I love that they get tighter if you pull the chain -- very fun for intense BDSM play.

Safety note: Just be sure to listen to your body -- if they get too painful, or if you start experiencing cold or color-change in your nipples TAKE THEM OFF. You don't want to hurt yourself or your partner in the bad way.
