Pink kink kit - light bdsm kit by Spartacus - review by Cinnamon

The Pink Kink Kit by Spartacus is a great for beginner's into the BDSM world, or for those kinksters that don't play very hard. It has three pieces included with it, so in each section we'll take it item by item. All the items seem very well made, and were able to stand up to Master and I playing with them quite hard. The pale pink color of all the pieces is very girly and I love it!

The collar is quite comfy, however it did not have a setting that fit me well. It either choked the hell out of me, or spun around on my neck. It says the word "SEXY" on it, and does tend to have that very effect on the person wearing it, and the person seeing it. As soon as I put it on, I felt sexy and couldn't wait for Master to see me in it.

The blindfold is perhaps the best piece in the set. It was the most comfortable, and fit well. It has a very cute white heart in the upper corner of it, that adds to the girly feel of the kit. The faux fur lining is also a huge plus. It's very soft, and made me feel very good to have that softness while more painful things were happening elsewhere.

The whip is very cute and quite small. It is most certainly for beginners. At one point Master wasn't getting a reaction at all, so he turned it around and used the handle instead of the falls. I can't really remember this whip having any affect on me whatsoever. If you know what a whip feels like, or have any masochistic tendencies at all, I could not very well recommend that this whip will bring you any pleasure, but it might make a cute key chain.

Overall, everything in this kit is designed and made very well. I don't see any of the pieces falling apart, even with as much as once a week use. All the pieces in this kit had a lovely leather smell to them. Leather is very appealing to me perhaps because of the smell, so that was really a huge plus for me.

The collar is made of pink leather, and letters are made of metal. There are four snap closures on the back for adjustable fitting, however the last one was too tight, but the one next to it was too lose. If it had had a size in the middle of the two, this would have been super comfy. The letters are anchored to the pink leather, but you can't feel them at all when you wear the collar. The letters are the only thing in this set I worry about staying put.

The blindfold seems to be the best made piece. It is made of the same thick pink leather as the other two pieces, and is lined with white faux fur. It has an adorable little white heart stitched in the upper corner. It has a white elastic band to hold it in place, and while some may not like this very much, I didn't feel it took away from the quality. It fit me very well, and didn't move around much.

The whip was the biggest disappointment for me. It is better suited for sensual use, rather than BDSM use. It is made well though, and could probably be used quite often for light playing. It is 11" in length, and made from the same leather as the other two. The size is very small, and didn't fit in Master's hand very well. I will probably use this as part of my sizable key chain collection.

The performance of this set didn't quite meet my expectations, however I feel as if maybe I'm a heavier player than most. The fact that the collar didn't fit well, and the whip had no sting whatsoever really lowered my opinion of the set. The blindfold was my favorite part, and I will most likely use it more than anything else. The collar can be easily used for costumes, and may be pulled out on Halloween or Valentine's, but really won't find a more permanent place in my toy box. The whip will become nothing more than a cute decoration, as I can never see myself using again for any kind of play at all. This kit has has it's place I'm sure, but it's not in my toy box.

Leather should be wiped down with a damp cloth, if needed. The faux fur lining can be hand washed and air dried. I would definitely avoid wearing make-up or wear smear proof make-up at the very least.

The packaging was so cute. I loved it. It came packaged in a pink mesh drawstring bag. It's perfect for gift giving.
