Pink plush wrist cuffs by Topco

When shopping for my first wrist cuffs, I wanted painless restraints that would be sturdy enough for my bondage fantasies, but constructed so that I could get out if I didn't feel safe. These Pink Plush Wrist Cuffs are great for beginners to safely explore or enter the world of bondage.

I chose these cuffs because I wanted something soft that wouldn't hurt my (frustratingly delicate) wrists. Although I hate the color pink, I was willing to give these a shot because of how affordable they were compared to the other leather cuffs. Also, these cuffs--unlike many of the other wrist cuffs available--came with a detachable chain, so I wouldn't have to order anything else to hold them together. At such an inexpensive price, I knew that if I didn't like them, I could just get rid of them without feeling like I had wasted a ton of money.

It's very easy to escape from these cuffs by detaching the chain with your cuffed hand. On the one hand, this allows you to easily escape. On the other hand, the knowledge that you can escape so easily can be a mood-killer. Because my partner and I were both nervous about bondage play going into our experimentation, this has been useful for us. Although this might work for people chiefly interested in a chance to act out their fantasies, it is not going to cut it for those who want the experience of actually being unable to escape.

These cuffs have been able to withstand occasional use over the past six months and remain in good condition. Be careful, though, because if you struggle too hard, they will break. My partner and I had no difficulty with the chain (despite the fact that the links are not soldered closed) or the cuffs themselves, but we did have minor problems with the connectors on either side of the chain. The sliding part of the connector, which did not seem terribly sturdy when the cuffs were just out of the package, ended up getting noticeably bent during vigorous use. My cuffs are still perfectly usable at this point, but this is my guess as to where the cuffs will break first.

In case you are curious, the fuzzy bands are about 7 3/4" when fully open. My set, came with straps on the cuffs that were made to slightly different sizes. One of my cuffs has a maximum length (measured from end-to-end on the inside) of about 9 3/4" at its longest and 6 3/4" at its shortest, and the other is about 10 1/2" at its longest and 7 1/2" at its shortest. I do not know which size is standard, but in my set, the sizes do not line up at any point, but it would be easy to make a new hole with a leather punch.
