I could easily describe The Fashionistas Riding Crop by Icon Brands as the perfect riding crop! This crop has it all; a leather head, a sturdy yet flexible nylon neck, and best of all a tempered glass handle. The Fashionistas Riding Crop is perfect for couples play as due to its length, it would be difficult to use on oneself as a crop. It can be used to seductively tease your partner by gently trailing it over their body or you can use it to really pack the heat and give them the spanking they deserve. That being said, the glass handle can be utilized as a glass dildo, thus technically you could use it during a solo session, but you are probably better off just buying a glass dildo. Also, the nylon neck of the crop can be used for spanking and packs quite a good amount of pain much like a cane.

This is my first riding crop and we have been able to use it just fine, so beginners should not be intimidated by this product. Just don't start off by smacking your SO's ass as hard as you can because even with moderate strength, this thing will cause welts. Start off light and increase as desired. The Fashionistas Riding Crop by Icon Brands is a very well crafted crop and well worth the investment. The length of it measures at 18 3/4" from the top of the leather head of the crop to the base of the tempered glass handle.

The head of the crop itself is 3 1/2" long and about 1 3/4" at its widest point. The head is made of black leather that is folded over into a loop and has the 'F' Fashionista logo on both sides. It is secured to the neck of the crop by a combination of stitching and a piece of rubber. This is not simply glued together as I have seen on reviews for other crops. You will have to pop the stitching and remove the rubber in order to get this head to come off. It does not seem to be in any risk of doing so during use. There is not any real smell of leather or anything else.

The neck of the crop measures (on the exposed parts) about 8 1/4". I have said that it is made of what I would describe as a black mesh plastic nylon. I could not find out the exact material during my research, but will post it in my follow up review if I discover the true material. There is about 1 3/4" of the neck that is sewn into the head of the crop and you can feel that the neck does go into the glass handle about the same length. The neck is thin, sturdy yet flexible and can really pack a wallop.

The black tempered glass handle is the most unique feature of The Fashionistas Riding Crop. It measures about 6 1/4" in length and about 2 1/2" around. On the handle are silver etchings of two naked angels facing each other with their nipples touching. There is also beautiful scroll work surrounding them. The handle has a good weight to it and if you really feel the circumference of the handle you will realize that it is not "perfectly" round but there is a bit of a flattened part of it to help with grip. It is really quite beautiful. As advertised on the box, the handle can be used for insertion. I highly recommend utilizing this feature. This convinced me even more that I need to invest in a glass dildo, but for now, this works out great. Even with the etchings, the handle is very smooth and feels cool to the touch. There is not a loop on the handle as many crops have. I imagine that a loop would hamper using the handle as a dildo. I did see that one reviewer stated that there was a flaw under one of the angels, a bump. My crop does not have this bump, so that seems to be just an isolated case.

Overall, this is a true quality product that is sturdy in design and will last quite a long time. Of course this product is phthalate-free.

The Fashionistas Riding Crop by Icon Brands worked out better than I imagined. I was really afraid that it would not end up being a quality product and that it would either not produce enough bite or just be too overbearing for my limits. As I have already expressed this IS a QUALITY product that is well worth the investment. When I took it out of the package to examine it, I was not disappointed and was very happy to feel the sturdiness of it, but enough about that.

This crop is amazing! Yes, it is my first crop, but now I feel bad for any other crop that I buy for I fear it will pale in comparison. I highly recommend that a blindfold is utilized during play with this crop. To feel the leather tracing my spine from my neck to my buttocks and down my legs in a way that feels like a lover's tickling kiss and then to suddenly be met with that unexpected smack across my cheeks that bites and burns in a way that just makes you moan in pure ecstasy - oh I love this crop! While storage can be difficult for The Fashionista Riding Crop, care and maintenance is quite easy. To clean the leather head of the crop I used a damp cloth and tried to not wet the inside of the loop. For cleaning of the neck and glass handle of the crop I used warm water and a liquid antibacterial soap. Just be careful to not get the leather head wet. It is highly recommended to wash the handle especially if utilized as a dildo or if you have had your mouth on the neck of the crop at all.

Storage is tricky as there is not a loop on the handle to make it easy to hang up and I would not want to hang it from the leather crop head. I have a large chest that I utilize for storage of my growing collect and it fits fine in there, but the crop could be hidden easily in a dresser drawer. You definitely will not be storing this in that secret hide a vibe pillow.

The box itself is made of plastic with the Fashionista name and logo everywhere. It can be used as storage if you were to hide it in your closet or under your bed, but once seen by someone, they will instantly know what it is. I would only use the box if you do not have drawers or a chest large enough to store the crop in.

There is a brief description on the back that reads:
"A beautiful glass handle appropriate for penetration accents this wickedly chic leather-tipped riding crop. It's all part of the Fashionista approach to life and love...where pain meets pleasure, and orgasmic bliss is just a sting away."

They took the words right out of my mouth. So, for those that still question if the handle should really be used as a dildo, there you go, it is on the box!

Do not kid yourself by wearing clothes while using The Fashionista Riding Crop. A thong or g-string, sure. To really heighten the experience add a little music, a little dirty talk, and a good blindfold.
