Pleasure sling - sling discontinued by Whipsmart - review by BBW Talks Toys

The Pleasure Sling is a product that is designed to give couples assistance in finding deeper penetration. It's also designed for some light bondage fun. I think this product is best designed for someone who is under 250 pounds, very flexible already, and/or has problems reaching maximum penetration. Since I don't fall into any of those categories, I really didn't enjoy this.

You use this by sliding your feet into the harness and you can leave your feet in the rings, or slide them down to your calves or knees. Then you put the head rest behind your head, lie back, and tighten the straps to your desired tightness. This also forces you to bring your head up a little so you can "watch" the action, but for me, it was more like.... well.... I'll tell you that in a minute.

Since your hands are not bound with this, you can use it with a partner or solo, as the straps are very easy to release. I suppose that it would help some women achieve optimal g-spot stimulation.

I really think that this is very nicely made. It has sturdy nylon straps that are sewn to plush, albeit cheetah printed, cushions. It's a faux velvet type material, which makes it feel a little 70s, but it's soft to the touch. It's all sewn very well and the straps have plastic strap adjusters that are easy to manipulate. And trust me, that's a good thing because when you're bent like a pretzel and your feet are falling asleep, it's nice to be able to just reach up and not have to fight to get "unbendy." But more on that later.

I'm going to keep this section short, because I'm saving it all for the experience. No it did not help me to achieve new positions. It did not enhance our regular positions. It was easy to use. It was really uncomfortable behind the head and despite the cushions, I did need to "jerry-rig" a pillow into the head strap so I could even begin to use this without too much pain. It seemed to be in the way more than anything.

This came in a cardboard box that is a maroon color with some lime green accents. The box pictures the couple using the product, and also pictures other items available by the company. Not to mention, some basic information about the product. The box is not discreet so you definitely don't want to leave it out, but you could use it to store your sling if you didn't want to just toss it in a drawer.

I do want to add that this is not a product that I'm keeping. We tried it once, for about an hour, in several different positions and we just could not make it work for me. Now read below for why... but you probably already get the picture.

Now, for the moment you've all been waiting for. The experience.

I got this as a surprise for My Mr. I've never really been one to be bound or confined, but My Mr. has wanted to get me into compromising positions and I thought that this would be a nice compromise. I couldn't move much, but my hands were still free and I didn't feel like I was being dominated too much. (I'm the dom in this relationship, but I don't mind switching every 437 years or so.)

The day it came in the mail, the kids had just been picked up by the grandma (how convenient, right?) and I showed it to My Mr., who sniggered at the cheetah print and started disco dancing a little. I never said we were a normal couple, okay? So after we got a little more prepared for some sexy time, we broke out the sling. After fiddling with the straps and the best way to wear it, which for me was at my knees, I got comfy and let My Mr. go to work.

We started out with oral and he didn't really find that my legs were out of the way any more than they normally were, and I had the straps pulled tight enough that my knees were basically at my boobies. If I hadn't pulled them that tight, it would have been like it normally is and what would be different about that other than having cheetah pillows around my knees.

I mentioned the positioning giving you something to help you "watch" the show? Ummmm.... imagine being in a permanent crunch for 20 minutes. Yeah. If you didn't have a six-pack before you started using this thing, you will by the time you're done! I had to hold onto the straps just to keep from hurting my neck and teetering over. I'm grunting, and not in the sexy way, and My Mr. just decides that this is NOT working out.

*You can stop laughing at that mental image now. No I won't put up a picture of that.*

So we decide that we'll try getting on the edge of the bed. By this time, I've figured out to be even remotely comfortable in the neck, I've gotta put a pillow in there somehow. So after 15 minutes of reconfiguring the system, I get "cozy?" errr... less uncomfortable. My legs are in the air again and it's not too bad... it's not too different either except, again, I've got cheetah pillows around my knees. The penetration is the same as when we always do this position.

We tried a couple other things with this but they all resulted in much the same results, only less funny and more painful.

I'm not saying that this is a bad buy for everyone, it just wasn't for me, and I think most of the bigger women would probably have similar experiences.
