The very first thing I noticed about the whip was its vibrant, alluring color. It's hard for a girl to resist anything that pink. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that it was made completely out of rubber. And any vegetarian/vegan/animal lover will tell you... that's a definite plus!
However, it goes without saying that along with rubber comes a distinct odor. Here was where my first bit of uncertainty arose.
I was hesitant to actually smell the whip but, smell is a very important aspect of a toy. (At least for me, it is.) Shortly after overcoming my initial "odor skepticism", I discovered that there was barely any odor to smell. Exciting news for someone who is very sensitive to different types of aromas!
After breathing a sigh of relief, I then felt the rubber strands. They were incredibly light and soft. The sensations they created on my fingertips were undoubtedly phenomenal! Who would have thought that a whip, by all traditional standards, could be so... tickly?! I couldn't wait to see what this thing could do as an actual whip!
I began waving it around and lightly hitting myself on my arm with it. Those tickly, pink rubber strands packed a punch! I couldn't wait to see what it would do when I started whipping it a little harder. I was taken aback by the ferocity of the whips I gave myself. Hard enough to sting but, not enough to cause actual pain.
At this point, there was no way I could bring myself to resist purchasing this wonderful little invention. Trust and believe, my partner was as equally as thrilled as I was. It's hard to recall a time after I bought it that we didn't use it... together and separately! Now, we BOTH have a new favorite toy!

Performance
I enjoyed this toy after a wax play session. My skin was warm and sensitive and the falls tickled and stung just a bit, depending on how the toy was used. That, however, was the only thing it was really good for in my opinion. It is too light weight to do much in regards to how a flogger is traditionally used and swung, and while it DID leave marks, they were fairly light and did not last more than a half an hour or so. -

Thanks for the comment. I guess my only other uncertainty was how well the whip would actually whip. For a split second, I thought the lightweight make up of the whip wouldn't create enough of a sting. After testing it out a few times, I realized that was not the case at all! (:
