Pretty Wicked

These are lovely, deceptively pretty cuffs that actually will hold a struggling submissive in place. These are no decorative symbols, these cuffs are the real deal. Definitely a great buy for beginners and experienced bondage players alike.

Use

I am genuinely surprised by how strong these leather free cuffs are. They're far more serious restraints than I would have expected based on their lovely design, plush interior and gorgeous silk exterior. They're soft, squishy, comfy and non-threatening looking. They may be the perfect buy for a couple just getting into kink, as they're pretty enough to be non-threatening, but hardcore enough to holdup if you realize you like it.

They're very adjustable and fit both my wrists and ankles beautifully. However, these are not cuffs you can easily surprise a partner by wearing, putting a cuff on a wrist is definitely not easy to do yourself.

Other than that though, these are lovely, sturdy, multi-purpose cuffs. I'd say they're appropriate for light to moderately heavy bondage play (they're obviously less intense than some of the hardcore leather cuffs) but they're appropriate for holding up against some fairly reasonable struggling.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

These are beautifully made restraints. Each one is made out of a soft core (I think it's some sort of foam) with a soft fleece-y fabric on the back, and beautiful floral patterned fuchsia silk stitched onto the front. In the center of each cuff there's a metal D-ring, through which there is another layer of the silk, which is stitched sturdily down on either side of the d-ring holding it in place.

The stitching is very sturdy, and it looks as if it will hold up to plenty of struggling and resistance. It's scentless, and feels soft and very comfortable when on. I could wear these for ages without becoming remotely uncomfortable in them. The size is also highly adjustable, as since you tie the ribbon to the level you need they can adjust to vastly bigger or smaller bigger on your needs.

The D-ring is a little thinner than other restraints I've used, but it seems well made and unlikely to bend or break under strain.

Performance

These perform beautifully. My partner restrained me to the bed with my wrists well separated and I was surprised by how my struggling failed to loosen my bonds even a little. I am a recalcitrant sub when in bondage and I love to struggle, and these gave me the genuine sense that I could not escape, that I was trapped and genuinely at her mercy. I hate feeling that a bondage toy is too delicate, that I'll break it if I struggle, and with these I was helpless, I could writhe and yank all I wished and I simply could not get out. They were also very comfortable, despite my struggles my wrists never chafed or bruised. These are definitely delightful cuffs.

Admittedly getting them on can be a bit finicky, but it's much easier than adjusting buckled cuffs tight enough.

Packaging

These come in a plastic bag with a card depicting a lovely retro image of a pinup girl on a green background and the "Leatherbeaten" logo. It's very minimal as packaging goes, but the design is appealing, and personally, I don't like too much packaging with my toys.

Follow-up commentary
These have held up beautifully, and I love leaving them hanging around on my bed. These are insanely comfortable, and they look incredibly sexy on. Hell, I think these cuffs are sexier than lingerie most of the time. My girlfriend loves them, and they're actually more adjustable than cuffs with buckles, not to mention they're surprisingly secure. These are A+ cuffs,

OMG, these are so, SO gorgeous! I don't know how I missed seeing these. I just wish they matched the blindfold that EF has. For some reason, EF offers the cuffs and the blindfold in different colors. I really like that these are so adjustable because I'd love to use them on my husband, too, and he has large wrists! Thank you so much for this review. They are going on my wish list. As a matter of fact, you sold me on them before I even finished the review and I clicked over to the product page to save them to my list before clicking back to finish reading!
