We were expecting a bit more from this kit than we got! Although we should have realized that at this price we weren't going to get the real thing! Unfortunately we could have spent a bit more and got something a lot more fit for purpose and actual use than this kit. We felt misled by the description, as these items are more for role play S&M than actual practice.

This kit consists of three items: a blind fold, handcuffs and a cat of nine tails style whip. The blindfold is black plastic with a piece of elastic across the back, which holds it tight to your eyes when placed around your head, with a decorative fur print front. As blindfolds go it is pretty run of the mill... she's had similarly designed blindfolds given to her in relaxation kits etc. It is effective as a blindfold currently but we imagine over the cause of time and with repeated use the elastic will give quite quickly.

The handcuffs are very flimsy in design. The metal itself reminds us of the die cast metal children's toys are made of. The handcuffs do not lock although there are some pseudo keys attached for decoration. The handcuffs are covered with the same fur material that adorns the blindfold, wrapped around the wrist rings in a feeble attempt to carry a theme through. We felt that we could not fully test the handcuffs as any amount of pressure or pulling on this item would cause them to give and maybe even break.

Finally, the whip is leather-look but seems to be made of some kind of vinyl with a wooden covered handle. The strands for whipping were not very strong and have already started to split at the bottom and come out of the handle. The leather-look design is particularly poor and generally looks cheap and nasty.

We felt all the items could have been better made, even as props for role play or similar they would not have lasted very long at all. These items are merely decorative and would not withstand any actual S&M play...which unfortunately was what we wanted them for!
