Red Dragon Tattoo

Those with larger heads might want to steer clear of this one, but as an all around mask and blindfold, this inked dragon is a worthwhile investment. On those it fits, it will be really comfortable, as well as cute. You can use this easily any time you want to block out the light.

extremely useful review
My last experience with a mask wasn't all that great. In fact, it really kinda sucked. So when I got the chance to try this one out, I was really excited, since it just looked so darn cute.

The box is decently nice. Not something you'd want to use for long term storage, but not the most embarrassing thing that could be found by someone else. The mask sits inside the box with tons of empty space surrounding it.

Removing it from the protective plastic bag, you get a mask that's just under 7" across, 3 1/4" tall where the eyes should go, and 2 1/4" tall where your nose goes. The mask feels as though it's got a foam core, providing a nice layer of plush comfort. The edges have been double sewn for sturdiness and durability and you're going to have to intentionally do damage to them to get anything to happen. The pink elastic straps on the other hand, seem a lot more flimsy than the rest of the blindfold. We tugged pretty hard, but didn't manage to break one loose.

The black polyester shell feels nice against the skin, and the fiery dragon decals add a nice edgy feeling to the whole ensemble. They more closely resemble a sticker than actual embroidery, so if you do toss this in the machine washer, you should probably keep it out of the dryer. Please note that if you're wearing makeup on or around your eyes, it might rub off onto the inside of your mask. If that happens, I'd recommend you first try spot cleaning it with a damp washcloth. If that doesn't work, wash it with your lingerie on cold and low, then keep it out of the dryer.

As for how it performs, quite well. Yes there was still a sliver of light that both my fiance and myself could see, but we couldn't really see anything through it. We did definitely conclude that this is a mask for smaller heads. His measures about 25" around where the mask would sit, and he said it was a bit uncomfortable. So he didn't wear it more than a few minutes. I on the other hand, measure just under 21" around where the mask would sit, and I can wear it comfortably for hours at a time. I'd be cautious of recommending it to anybody who's head is any bigger than mine, since when I'm wearing it, it's comfortably tight. If my head were much bigger, I don't think it'd be very comfortable anymore.

In addition to all the kinky fun you can have with this mask, it can really be used any time you want to block out light. I've used it as a sleeping mask and it really came in handy on a road trip when I was parked under the lights at a rest stop (for safety) and needed to block out that light so I could take a nap. I definitely recommend this to anybody who's interested in trying it.
