This small flogger is best used for sensual play and flogging your partner without creating much pain.


This is definitely not a flogger for scenes or extreme bondage, I don’t think you could make welts or hurt someone without really trying to hit hard. It is very well made, though, and will live through countless long play sessions.


It’s perfect for beginners who are learning to aim better, because of its size and the sheepskin suede LELO uses. It’s a luxurious toy to introduce some light flogging and BDSM into the bedroom.

LELO makes beautiful toys. Every toy I’ve gotten made by LELO has been high quality, luxurious, long lasting, and beautiful.

My Sensua has twenty-nine deep purple soft sheepskin suede falls, I know another reviewer said his/hers had thirty-four; so I just thought I’d count. The smell of the sheepskin leather is intoxicating. The falls are not cheap, the whip is well made and you’re not going to get them falling out anytime soon, this is a high-quality whip.


It also has a sturdy purple acrylic handle with LELO etched into it, and metal connector and spherical end. To be honest, I was most worried about finding the plastic handle to be cheesy or cheap seeming, but it doesn’t. It’s weighty and beautiful, and feels great in your hand.


It’s well balanced for holding it nearer to the leather end of the handle, which gets you closer to your partners, and feelings like you’re in more control.

The colors are also beautiful, I got the purple. The leather is darker but very complementary to the handle.

I find the feel of this whip to be stingy and more than slightly thuddy, this can make for some awesome light flogging. The pain becomes more stingy as the nerves become more sensitive, but you’re really going to have to hit hard to get some intense stingy pain. It’s going to hurt, but in a good way, and not too much. Its size also makes it perfect for holding during intercourse so you can flog at the same time.


I think with how small this flogger is, it also makes the user feel extremely in control of the Sensua, especially when compared to other bigger floggers. I love it.

Do not get your suede wet, do not get oils or body fluids on your whip. It will damage the suede and suede cleaner can change your whip feels, so just be careful.


Also, be careful not to let the falls get folded up if you store it back in the box. There’s no hook or loop to hang this up on (like seen on many other flogging toys), but the best way to store these kinds of toys is to lay them out or hang them up so that they never get folded. Once folded there’s really no way to ever unfold them. If one of your falls folds in a weird angle, it could always be awkward and whipping around - not staying with the group of falls, when in use.

A lot of people don't want to leave their whips lying around, so just store with caution.

The outer box is a shiny black box with some art depicting the whip and the word “LELO” written in silver. The graphic is even the color of the whip you purchased, which is a nice touch. On the back of the box is another graphic depicting the whip, and the words:


“Sensua Suede Whip Caress and ignite the naked skin with beautifully sensual suede. This stylish whip is tailored for both gentle and not-so gentle strokes, making it a most desirable accessory for the couples who crave excitement.”


Then, the same written underneath in German, French, Spanish, and Japanese. It also says “High-Quality Suede Whip / Acrylic and Metal Handle” under the graphic, only in English. On all four of the remaining sides of the box it says, “LELO sensual suede whip”.


There is an inner box which is entirely matte black, very elegant, sturdy, and high quality. The top lifts off this box to reveal a sort of rice-paper folded over the Sensua Suede Whip. I think for gift giving this luxury toy to your partner (or friends, etc.) you could just use the inner box and it would be so elegant, minimalist, and classy that way. Just a thought.


Tied around the handle of the whip, with a black piece of string, is a small piece of black card stock which reads “LELO” and on the reverse “www.lelo.com” in silver lettering.

There’s no way to hang it up, but I think that adds to the classy-factor. If careful, you could store it in its box.


The smell of the leather is great, and because I’d heard about the suede shedding during the first use, I was careful to take it out of the box before giving it my girlfriend and hitting a pillow with it for several minutes - practicing aim and removing any shedding bits in the process. I didn’t notice any shedding after that, and the initial shedding was minimal. This could be because I have the purple, reviews of the red and black whips appear to complain about shedding more, while the reviewers with purple whips (even see Carrie Ann’s video review) do not seem to notice this problem as much.


Maybe one day LELO will make a full size flogger like this! I think that would be a treat. I really think they should keep going with more BDSM/restraint toys. I like this. I am so impressed with this whip.

After my friend ordered some under the bed restraints and a paddle, and told us about using them with her girlfriend, my girlfriend expressed (to my surprise and joy) that she thought that would be “hot.”
