If you are into role-playing or looking for something to spice up your bedroom play, this is the kit for you. The Lover’s Prisoner kit is something fun that anyone could enjoy. My husband and I had lots of fun using this kit.

Use

Ladies, this is your chance to turn your guy into your sex slave or prisoner. You can use this kit to restrain him and take control, and whenever he gets out of line you can give him a nice smack with the whip. The cuffs do tie, so if you don’t have a headboard you can use a chair. Another nice way you can use this is just take the two cuff connectors and tie a nice knot in the end, then slide it in between a door and the frame and let the teasing began. I would not recommend letting the cuffs hold your weight though, as they are not intended for that kind of use. I am sure there are plenty of other places in your house you could tie your prisoner up. Don't forget to make sure your prisoner has his collar and leash on, that way you are sure to not let him get away. The whip at full force can sting your prisoner’s skin, so depending on what he likes you might want to take it easy... unless he is real bad boy!

If you are into the BDSM lifestyle this probably is not the best kit for you, as the material would not withstand long periods of abuse over time. If you are considering venturing into the BDSM lifestyle, this would be a good starter kit to try out to see whether or not you would like it. The kit is very easy to use and the cuffs have Velcro on them that are not hard to open and close, but makes it a difficult for your prisoner to get away.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

The Lover’s Prisoner kit comes with 5 items: one collar, a leash, two ankle/wrist cuffs, and a whip. The collar is 18.5 inches and has 3 snaps, so it is adjustable. The cuffs are 13.5 inches long including the Velcro. They are both made out of a soft red faux fur. The faux fur is very short, so your prisoner won’t feel like they have fur growing from their neck, wrist, or ankles (depending on where you use the cuffs). They do feel nice on your skin; there is no itchy or scratchy feeling to them.

The leash is 43.5 inches long, not including the metal clip. The cuff connectors are 42 inches long. The leash and cuff connectors are made from a tough nylon material. When pulled, all the material seems very durable. It is able to take some abuse, and will last a long time for bedroom play.

The whip is made up of three parts: a strap for your wrist, the handle, and the long rubber latex strings. The kit does come with a warning; some people may have an allergic reaction to the rubber latex. It is very flexible and light. Altogether, from the top of the handle to the end of the strings, the whip is 13.5 inches long. In order to use the whip you do have to be close to your prisoner. I do recommend using the strap that is attached to the handle, so the whip doesn’t fall or fly out of your hand. The product description was pretty accurate when they gave the size and the details of this kit.

Performance

Everything about this kit seemed to work really well. The cuffs are reliable enough to keep your prisoner exactly where you want him, but in case of an emergency or interruptions they can easily be removed. They were tough enough that my husband struggled to remove them while he was tied to the chair, but they were not made to keep someone from getting out of them.
When you hook the leash to the collar, as long as you have the leash it will be difficult for him to get away. The snaps on the collar make it very hard to come undone while tugging him around or hanging on to it for balance. When I used the leash to hang on, while riding my husband, I felt that the material was durable enough to not rip or tear.
The whip was an excellent tool for punishment. This little bad boy can either do a great job at teasing him or bring him some pain. I don’t think this was intended to bring a lot of pain to your partner, but if you swing it at full force it will sting. Overall I would say all the items in the kit performed very well and as they were intended to.

Care and Maintenance

The paper insert that comes with the package gives no information about how to care for each item in the kit. I had to do some digging to find out how to clean each one. In my opinion you could just use a wipe or damp cloth to remove anything you get on any of the items. If you are a messy person or like to include food or other things in your bedroom play, then I suggest you put them on the delicate cycle and let them hang dry. I would recommend that you don’t allow the whip to come in contact with any oil-based lubricants, as it may cause the rubber to break down over time. Also, I would store it in a cool place so the whip doesn’t get overheated and melt.

Packaging

The Lover’s Prisoner kit comes in a plastic container that easily pops open. The front of the paper insert has a nice picture of how to use the kit. The back of the paper shows two other pictures that have closeups of how the collar and leash and the restraint cuffs work. The only information it does give is what the box contains and a warning that the rubber latex whip may cause an allergic reaction. You could use the plastic container for storing your kit if you wanted to. I think the container would hold up for a while.

Personal comments

This kit is something I think my husband and I will enjoy for a very long time. It’s not something we will use every time, but when we are in the mood to play and our kids are away we can use this to have some fun. It’s not just for guys either, so if you women out there want to be the prisoner you can have just as much fun doing it too. There are so many different ways you could use this kit, and the kinkier you are the more fun you are going to have trying each way out. There were a couple of items that I wish had come with this kit: a mask and one of those feather teasers. I think those two things could make it a little more fun to play with. I will be looking into buying those to add to my little kit of fun.

Experience

When I first got this in the mail I didn’t realize you had to tie the cuffs to something, and I was a little disappointed about that since my bed doesn’t have a headboard. After some thinking though, my husband and I did make this work for us by using it on a chair and in a door. I did have to do a little convincing to get him to agree to try this out. He likes to be in control of things, but to his surprise he REALLY enjoyed it. He especially loved it when we used it in the door. This gave me free rein to tease his body as I worked my way down to give him oral. When we did use it in the chair, I loved having the leash to hang on to. There were no arms on the chair, and with his wrist being tied down to the sides it was nice to have it for balance.

Great review. I actually have this kit, but we haven't tried it out yet. Your review actually gave me some good ideas for using the nylon ties on the cuffs. I hadn't thought of knotting them and putting them through a door.

      Basically, you just put the cuffs/collar/mask on. You can make it about power exchange (one partner collaring another), or just for fun (cuffing your partner up so they can't get away from your advances!).
