The Aslan Silicone Ball Gag is possibly one of the highest quality ball gags you'll find on Eden. Made by Aslan Leather, a BDSM centric leather company, this ball gag is made of the best leather and silicone. The smaller sized ball makes it beginner friendly and comfortable to wear for extended periods. The price also means beginners won't shy away from this since it's not that much more expensive than a lower quality gag. This gag also makes a great addition in an advanced user's collection. No matter what level you happen to be, Aslan's ball gag is sure to please.

A ball gag works by tying around the wearer's head to keep the ball in the mouth. This restricts the ability to speak, adding a new level to submission.

With all BDSM it is recommended that you have a safe word in place in case things get to be too much. Since the wearer of the gag will be limited in speech ability, a back up safe signal is a good additional safeguard.

SIZE/FIT

The total length of the gag is 23.5". The strap with the adjustable holes is 11.5" and the strap with the buckle is 10.25". The ball is 1.75" long and 1.75" wide. There are eight holes on the adjustable strap that are .75" apart.

This is the first gag to fit me comfortably and tightly enough not to come out. For reference, my head is 21" around. This also fits my husband whose head is much larger than mine. The length should be large enough to fit most users and should be adjustable to fit those who are smaller in size.

The gag is not the smallest, but it is small enough to fit those with a smaller mouth comfortably. The silicone material has the ability to give some when you bite down, making it feel a little smaller. I have jaw issues from teeth grinding and my jaw will lock up if I stretch it for too long of a period. I have worn this for almost an hour without my jaw locking up. It is also small enough for a beginner as an introduction to ball gags. Here you can see it in my hand for size reference:



MATERIAL/CRAFTSMANSHIP

The straps are made of white leather. I'll be honest, I don't have a lot of leather experience and you'll have to take my opinion with a little bit of a grain of salt. I'm limited to purses and shoes.

The leather comes with that distinct new leather smell. It is very strong at first but fades over time. It can still be smelled after a while of having this if held to my nose, but I don't notice it when I wear it. It was strong enough to be noticed the first few uses.

The leather is very soft and pliable. It moves around easily allowing for greater movement. It has that crinkly look that some leathers have. It is soft to the touch, but not in a plushy way like it was made with a leather softener. Like other Aslan products I own, I am very impressed with the quality of the leather. It not only appears to be high quality to the eye, but is comfortable to wear.

The silicone is tasteless, a great quality for something that will be in your mouth. It has a light odor but is not noticeable during use. There is a seam that runs down it, but this is not noticeable when wearing it. The silicone is smooth with a good amount of drag. It is firm but has enough give that it is easy to bite down on.

The metal is all nickel plated. I really don't know enough about metal to say anything about the quality on this. My husband is good with metal items and it seems to have passed his quality test.



DESIGN

The ball gag features two emergency release snaps on either side of the ball. These allow the wearer to quick release should something go wrong during use (granted that they are not bound up at the time).



The quick releases can both be undone to remove the silicone ball for cleaning.

I had quite a few rubber gags in my collection but was not a fan of the taste of them. They were about the same size as this, but didn't have a lot of give to the material and cause jaw cramping for me. They didn't see a lot of use even though I really liked the idea of a ball gag. Frustrated, I decided to finally upgrade to a higher quality line.

I couldn't be happier with the Aslan ball gag. No bad taste in my mouth! What a relief that is. There's nothing worse than being gagged with a foul tasting item. What's even better is how comfortable this ended up being. Even though the ball was only a tiny bit smaller than my other gags, it felt like a large decrease in size because of how much I was able to bite down on the material. My jaw has not once locked up when using this and it has been used for extended period of time.

On top of all these benefits, this actually fits me. I guess I must have a really small head or something because every other ball gag would just come off of me. The adjustments on this are able to tighten to the size of my head where it doesn't slip off during use and I actually feel gagged as opposed to feeling like I'm holding a ball in my mouth.

I'm very impressed with the quality and construction of this ball gag. I feel like the materials will hold up for a very long time and that it will be a staple item in our collection.

The general idea of care for leather is simple. It should not be submerged in water at any point. If it gets dirty you should wipe it down with a damp cloth and soap or a leather cleaner. Any water should be dried off immediately taking special care to get in any creases. Leather treatments can be applied to extend the life of the leather.

Aslan recommends using a clear coat of nail polish to prolong the life of the nickle plated metal.

The packaging is a simple bag which can be used for storage. We just keep this in a drawer which seems to work fine. Note that it is white and can get dirty, so make sure you keep it somewhere that dirt doesn't collect.

The packaging is basically nothing. It comes in a plastic bag that's similar to a Ziploc. I wish this would have come with something that could have been used for more proper storage like a cloth bag of some type.



As mentioned, the tag has care instructions.

I would recommend this item to beginners and advanced users alike. It's very reasonably priced, especially for an Aslan item. Many ball gags retail for around $20 so for only a small amount more you can get a very high quality one instead. The size will work for nearly everyone. The ball gag is not the very smallest, but it feels small due to the material. If you're in the market for a ball gag, you really can't go wrong with Aslan. As an added bonus, the pink and white color is beautiful!

I kinda covered everything in Performance already. Suffice it to say this is one of the best BDSM purchases I've ever made. After buying useless ball gag after useless ball gag, I had gotten to the point where I thought it was one of those things I just wouldn't be able to get to do. I'm very happy to say that this is no longer the case. Our ball gag gets used regularly and has held up very well thus far. I hope to keep it in our collection for a long time to come.
