Whether you're a beginner or have been at BDSM for quite some time, the wrist kink cuffs by Kinklab are sure to work well for you. These cuffs are excellent for light bondage, including play that involves being restrained to a bed or cross, and can withhold quite a bit of tension and pressure applied to them. If you're feisty and like to put up a bit of a struggle these cuffs can withstand even the hardest tug (I know because I almost pulled a St. Andrew's Cross over on top of me while fighting my partner). While these cuffs are not suitable for suspension play, they are suitable for both light and heavy play.

These cuffs are designed with two layers in order to provide comfort to the wearer. The bottom layer is made of black nylon which can be a bit rough when first used. Nylon has to be broken in a bit before it is comfortable against the skin. If you intend to use these cuffs for an extended play session, I suggest wearing these around the house or bedroom before engaging in play so that the nylon has a bit of time to stretch and soften. Along the length of the nylon are little ridges which can sometimes leave marks on the skin if there is tension applied to the cuffs (such as that from a bit of rough play). Once the nylon is broken in, however, these cuffs are extremely comfortable to wear and use for a prolonged period of time.

The top portion of the cuffs is made of sturdy red leather. This leather portion of the cuffs serves as the strap that buckles the cuffs together. Along the leather are nine holes which allows for the cuffs to fit a variety of wrist sizes. One downfall to most cuffs is that they are made to fit those with small wrists. These cuffs are designed to fit those with small wrists as well as those with larger wrists. The nine holes also allow for a bit of "wiggle room" when in use so that if you intend to fight the cuffs can be loosened to still restrain, but not cut off circulation due to tension applied to the cuffs. To secure the cuffs, there is a silver metal buckle at the opposite end of the strap through which the end with the holes goes through. Make sure before securing the buckle, though, that the nylon beneath the leather is overlapping properly and not rubbing harshly against the skin of the wearer. If the nylon is not laid properly it can cause a bit of discomfort during use. Along the leather straps, as there are two cuffs in this kit, are two metal "D" rings. The rings serve as a point of bondage and can be latched together with clips, rope, chain, or whatever you prefer to bind cuffs together with.

These cuffs are perfect for average users and are able to fit a majority of people interested in using cuffs. These cuffs measure at 9.5" in length so there is plenty of room for adjustment before use.

I have issues with finding wrist cuffs that are not only comfortable, but that I can stand to be in for long periods of time. In the past, I have found cuffs that were either too bulky and weighed down my wrists or that were too tight for me to imagine keeping on for a long period of time. These cuffs not only keep me restrained, but they have withstood some fairly violent play that my partner and I have engaged in consensually in the recent past. For example, he and I did a scene at a local club that involved him flogging me and pulling me to put tension on the cuffs. I fought him and pulled against the cuffs as well and, instead of them giving or potentially popping apart, I managed to pull the cross over that I was restrained to. Needless to say I was shocked and impressed by how strong these cuffs actually are. These cuffs have definitely met my expectations, if not exceeded them, and I highly recommend them to anyone interested in bondage or those who have been involved in BDSM for quite a while. These cuffs are wonderfully made, durable, and can withstand quite a bit of tension and force applied to them.

Caring for the cuffs can be a little tricky, but all in all it's simple. To clean the nylon after use, simply dab it with a warm wash cloth and a little bit of soap. You're going to want to avoid submerging these cuffs in water, though, and avoid getting the leather wet with the cloth as water can damage leather. To clean the leather, wipe down with some leather wipes. To store, place them where you keep your other toys or in a drawer. These cuffs lie flat when not buckled and are relatively easy to store virtually anywhere.
