Soft and gentle but not very durable
Although I was a little bit disappointed that there were frays in my rope, I am still very happy with it. It is fun to play with and ideal for comfortably tying someone up in a huge number of ways. The fraying at the ends is understandable, and I would have given this product 4 stars if that were the only issue, but since there is fraying in the middle of the braiding of the rope, I have to give it a lower rating.Published: March 12, 2011
Pros:
cheap, versatile, good for beginners, comfortable
Cons:
not the best quality, frays, indiscreet packaging

I still am very much in love with this rope, even despite its frays! It has held up wonderfully and I am very impressed that the fraying didn't get any worse. My only criticism is really due to my own laziness since it can be kind of obnoxious to have to wrap up all 35 feet of the rope every time I'm done playing with it, and that's made a bit more difficult since the rope is so soft and doesn't hold shape very well. All in all, I'm happier with it than I was at first when I found the frays in it.

"fetish fantasy series japanese silk rope" -- not silk
-
LazyNinjalink manufacturers page states that this rope is actually made out of cotton.
Talk about a misleading/lying branding system. Is Japanese Silk a trademark of theirs that they make out of chinese cotton?

'Silk' bondage rope listed under 'suspension kits'
-
Hey, Eden? I would like to respectfully suggest you remove this from the 'suspension kits' category. This type of rope is *not* safe for suspension. It's not real silk (Pipedream has confirmed it is actually a cotton/polyester blend), so can fray easily, stretch, and is just a poor idea if you don't want to risk dropping your submissive on their head.

I made sure to put in my review that the rope is not intended for suspension or partail suspension

what are they made of
-
This is a question that could easily be answered by reading the product page! If you just scan it really quickly you can see that hey, these silk ropes are made of rope! It also gives you a link explaining the care of the materials, which is this link! A lot of these questions are better left off of the forums! :)

But yeah, materials are always listed on the product's page, billybobtoy. It'll always be to the left of the product's picture, and it'll link to some basic care instructions. Though if you need more in-depth information, don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you for viewing Fetish Fantasy Series Japanese silk rope – restraints review page!

I'm sorry you didn't like this. Mine is still holding up very well, and has had quite a bit of use. Maybe a fluke in production? I hope you find something that you enjoy more at least
Great review!
I'll be writing my review on it tomorrow, and I had many of the same experiences.
@Kaltir: I still found plenty of enjoyment in it and it worked fine, I was just disappointed that mine happened to not be made very well. I'm glad that yours worked out, though!
@Vaccinum: Was yours also frayed? I'll be sure to look out for your review!
Good review, thanks for sharing!
