Tantric satin ties ankle cuffs by Cal Exotics - review by Calypso05

Tantric satin ties ankle cuffs are basically the same as the wrist cuffs, in fact the majority of this review is much like my review for the wrist cuffs. They are an affordable yet fun option to spice things up. These are absolutely beautiful cuffs but they are not perfect. The red satin feels wonderful on the skin and the best thing I’ve found about them is there won't be any marks left on your skin. While these cuffs are definitely not flimsy they are not for serious play and bondage either. I believe if given the proper care, these cuffs could last quite a long time, as long as heavy play isn’t involved.

For beginners who aren’t sure if they like being restrained this set is a fantastic option. The velcro straps allow for plenty of room and if you really need out then it could be very easily done. This set is one of the best for larger arms and I believe they would fit a great variety of users. Those with smaller ankles may find problems with the cuffs being rather bulky and a long strip of velcro left over. I would not recommend this set in any kind of suspension play but they would look lovely at a party or lifestyle event. They don't take up a large amount of space so travelling with these would be very easy.

These cuffs are made of red satin that is slightly plushy. I can understand why some might find these a little too bulky for their tastes but they have an entirely different feel than leather, vinyl, etc. They are also incredibly cute as they are made to resemble a corset. With these cuffs being so plushy they will not leave behind noticeable marks which can be important if you have to also lead a vanilla life. They are sturdy but won't hold up to seriously heavy play. They will also fit a large variety of ankle sizes. I have rather large ankles (I can't wear standard anklets) and I still have plenty of room if needed. The velcro does hang over when at full tightness and that can be annoying so I may trim it.

Wrist and ankle cuffs are some of my favorite components for play and I am always on the prowl for new ones. I really don't enjoy spending large amounts of money on cuffs only to hate the feel of them. I believe being comfortable while restrained is important. I find if I'm feeling strained then I don't enjoy the sensations as much. This set with its plushy red satin is perfect for sensation play. The feel of the satin against the skin is delicious. I really like sticking them in the fridge to cool before play. The sensation doesn't last very long but while it does it's breathtaking. I also find the link to be too short on the ankle cuffs. If you're doing a scene where you need to walk then you won't be able to have them linked while walking.

I was super excited when I received the box with the entire set enclosed. I immediately opened it to try them out. The packaging is not discreet but I didn't need to worry about that. The first thing I noticed is that they are even more beautiful in person than on the screen. The red is a bright red which the black contrasts against. I love corsets and the look of these cuffs is what first attracted me to them. Once I opened them I began to fear that these cuffs would be too bulky. I could see right away that they would certainly fit and I may even have some room left over. I was definitely correct in that they fit. I also had plenty of room and when they were tightened I had a long strip of velcro left over. I do plan on trimming the extra in the future. I also don't care for the connector but it does its job.

Regardless of those minor imperfections these are excellent cuffs. They will stand up to the pulling one may do in order to get away. The satin feels great against the skin but be careful around lube as I'm afraid it could stain it. I'm not sure as I haven't tested that theory, nor have I tested any washing techniques on them either.

All in all, I really did enjoy my experience in these cuffs.
