Patent leather bow wrist restraint - cuffs by The Stockroom - review by Madeira

This is an adorable, well made, but somewhat impractical and escapable bondage toy. It's great for photoshoots, and the look of bondage, but if you want to bind someone efficiently (or with any hope they'll actually be unable to escape) this is not an ideal toy. It's cute, it's fun (if a little frustrating to get on) and definitely well made, but definitely not for those who like their bondage more hardcore.

Though it really does look very pretty.

This toy is made up of three parts:
1. the actual restraint part of the restraint, which is a leather "belt" with slots running along the ends, and a metal d-ring riveted down in the center. It's made of nice, high quality leather, smells good, and is sturdy though unlined and a bit "chafe-y". This design would be almost perfect in terms of fit, except the d-ring is just a little small, if it were "taller" it would really make getting this restraint in place much easier, and make getting it tight (for submissives with small hands, like myself) much easier. I am not sure what metal the D-ring is made out of, but it seems to be chrome plated. It will fit very small wrists to very large wrists, but getting it tight around said wrists is nearly impossible.
2. The bow, the bow is made of patent leather, and also very cute. Its function is purely decorative, and it serves that function well, despite its thickness contributing to the problem of the d-ring.
3. The lock is an adorable heart shaped padlock that, while not the sturdiest in the world, is sturdy enough to serve its purpose well and be adorable doing it.
4. ...no one expects the Spanish Inquisition, but in all seriousness there are the two keys on a little piece of suede.

This performed beautifully in one sense, it is really and truly a beautiful piece of gear, well made and with proper care it should last a lifetime. On the other hand, it's really really hard to get on and easy to escape from. I guess it's really a form over function toy, unfortunately. I've tried it multiple ways, trying to macguyver a way to make this oh so pretty set of cuffs functional, but I've failed every time. The interior is also a bit chafe-y... so yes, beautiful bondage toy, but not terrible practical. It's also difficult to get on (especially with the bow on) as the d-ring barely pops up enough to get the lock through.

Treat the leather like leather, so store in a cool dry place, clean with a leather cleaner, and condition it when it starts to look dry.
