I absolutely LOVE this paddle! It is a very high quality tanned leather slapper that has a stitched handle and separates at the top. This slapper will make your ears ring for more, and your ass sting with pleasure and joy! It makes a great sound as it meets your partner’s backside. This paddle will certainly help you leave your mark. If you like a little, or a lot, of pain with your pleasure then this is the paddle for you!

It also works well as just a regular paddle. You could use it lightly on the skin without much harm being done. If you’re afraid that the text might hurt someone who isn’t into pain, I recommend using the back side which is just completely plain black leather.

Because of the two different pieces of leather that make up this paddle, it is more likely classified as a slapper. Paddles are just one piece that you can hit against someone. Slappers are two separate pieces, sewn together at the handle, that you can hit someone with. Because of the two pieces, a slapper is actually very well known for making noise because the back piece hits against the front piece on impact. That having been said, this toy is very loud. If you actually give it a good swing, it can definitely be heard through doors.

The actual paddle portion (the part that says “love”) is about two inches while the handle is a little over one inch. It is built for durability, and you can see that it was two pieces of leather that were sewed together nicely at the length of the handle to keep it together. The “Sportsheets” logo is lightly etched into the handle of the paddle. The black “love” portion of the paddle is separate from the plain leather portion of the back. The red that shows through with the letters is just a red piece of paper, but as much as I’ve been trying it out the last couple days, it hasn’t fallen out yet. It appears to be sewn in like the rest of the product. The end of the paddle has a nylon string on the end, along with a metal ring fit into the leather of the paddle.

This paddle is manufactured by Sportsheets and is very light in weight, weighing only 0.2 lbs. The length is a nice perfect length, not too long, not too short at 12 & 1/2 inches long with a wrist loop for added stability. This leather is made of high quality fibers and finished in a high gloss, making it pretty and shiny. Dirt or anything that you may get on this paddle should be removed with a damp cloth, using a mild soap if needed. I would not submerge this in water; it may damage the leather.

This sturdy leather is a water resistant, not waterproof, material with a high tensile strength and a high resistance to tearing. It is very thick and stable, yet it is not too stiff. It is bendable and gives a little sway. Usually used for harnesses and restraints, it has high resistance to flexing and to puncturing and is a good heat insulator if you like temperature play.
