Sportcuffs review
A good beginner cuff or for anyone who is interested in a lighter version of BDSM. They're cheap, but remember, you get what you pay for!Published: June 26, 2008
Pros:
Affordable. Adjustable. Comfortable.
Cons:
Not built to last. Easy to pull apart.
My boyfriend and I bought these just as we started becoming interested in bondage and BDSM. We hooked them to the bedposts of my bed and started fooling around. I was a cheerleader and a softball player most of my life, so I am pretty strong. It didn't take very long for me to tug these cuffs apart. We've had to repair them several times. Oftentimes now we just use scarves and bandanas, which are not nearly as stylish, but they don't fall apart with a good pulling!
These cuffs are very comfortable. They spread out the pulling across your wrist so it isn't concentrated and painful. They are cushiony and nice. They were easy to hook up to the bedposts. Unfortunately, they just didn't hold up. Granted, my boyfriend likes a real fight more than most and I can provide that more than most. I would recommend these cuffs more for beginners or for those who are looking for a fake fight- one with half-hearted pulling and fighting.
These wrist cuffs are very easy to adjust, making them able to fit all sizes. They were simple to figure out too, unlike some cuffs which are hard to understand with all their straps and buckles. Though once again, if you're a big or strong girl (or guy), a few hard pulls and these cuffs fall apart.
Although these wrist cuffs didn't serve my purpose of real restraint, and they didn't really hold me in place for very long, they would be very good for beginners. If you are interested in a simple to use cuff and a lighter version of bondage, then these cuffs might be for you! But remember- they're cheap and you certainly get what you pay for. If you're looking for something a little more heavy duty, go for leather or a more sturdy version.

Thank you for viewing Sportcuffs review page!

Hm, that's too bad. I just read a review of another set of wrist cuffs from Sportsheets that are basically just a slight upgrade on these, and sounded very sturdy- the Supercuffs.
Where exactly did they fall apart? At the metal connector in the middle?
For $20 I'm not surprised they fell apart.
we have been using ours for years, no problems yet. would be happy to buy more. we love em
