Master suspension cuffs - sex toy by ASLAN Leather - review by Red Vinyl Kitty

I purchased these cuffs because my husband and me had plans to put a suspension hook in the ceiling, thus making our move from ground-bound bondage to semi and hopefully later (full) suspension. Having used these cuffs a couple of times now, I have to say that they were absolutely perfect for that purpose and I am so glad we took the plunge despite the high price tag. If you're serious about suspension, you're going to need yourself a pair of these cuffs.

While the cuffs are easy to use, I see these as being a more advanced product. The idea of a beginner to the bondage world doing suspension worries the safety minded person in me, although these are not limited to suspension only bondage. That being said, if you plan to use these in a non-suspension setting they will work great while giving you something to grip. However, I feel that these are pricey for that purpose and that you really won't need these if you're staying ground-bound.

These cuffs are designed with suspension and long sessions in mind, for certain. They are made with incredibly thick leather (the thickest leather I've seen on a piece of restraint equipment yet, and I have lots of restraints). The very top of each cuff has a giant metal D ring. The D ring is very thick, and is 1 3/4" in width. The cuffs lock and have two D rings along the outside circumference of them. There are several grommits holding the cuffs together, and they are expertly machine stitched.

The inside of the cuffs is a real treat, they are padded, but with leather - not fleece or fur. The padding itself is incredibly comfortable on the wrists, and during our sessions has never hurt or cut into my wrist.

Leading from the D ring to the cuff itself is a 4.5" long double strip of leather which is very sturdy and perfect for gripping with these on.

I have very small wrists, and while we are able to get these on me, they will not fit smaller than me. My wrists are 5.75", and these will fit up to about 8". Due to the padding these are very difficult to measure, so I rounded down on the top number to be sure that you won't wind up buying these and being disappointed. These cuffs will fit small to medium wrists best.

These locking cuffs are as comfortable to use as they are heavy duty. The part which touches your wrist is quite cozy and I have yet to have my wrists or arms go numb while wearing these.

One thing which can be a bit of a drawback, (depending on how you like to be bound) is that after a while, the part which I grip with my hand started to make my hand sore. This is largely due to the fact that I really grip them tight coupled with the fact that I had to reach further over my head than is comfortable each time because that is the way my husband likes me bound. If my arms were bound a little less far above my head, this would be less of an issue for sure.

Another thing to be aware of with these is that I found it uncomfortable to put my entire weight on them. I am 145 pounds, and while Master has not suspended me from these alone, when we first got them he asked me to test them out by putting my full body weight on them. I found it too uncomfortable to take my feet off the ground because the part which you hold on to would cut into my hands. These are a great adjunct to other means of suspension, but I don't think these are the best cuffs for full body suspension alone.


Another great use for these is in conjunction with the Pleasure Swing that EdenFantasys carries. We found that putting my wrists in these, and then securing my wrists to the bar on the swing was much more comfortable than simply holding onto the bar was. I do have an injury in my left wrist however, so you may or may not find this to be more comfortable for you. If you enjoy sex while bound though, coupling these up with the Pleasure Swing is a wonderful way to incorporate swing sex and bondage.

These are heavy duty, and will last you a good long while should you take proper care of them.

These came with a tag that mentioned putting clear nail polish on the grommits to help keep them looking good longer. I have not done this, as I have no clear nail polish, but if I get some I'll update in the follow up review.

Leather should never come in contact with water. Should these need it, you can use a leather cleaner on them.

We personally store these hanging up from chains which are dangling from our bondage hook on the ceiling. This way they are always ready when we want to play with them. However, since most people don't have that kind of set up, you can easily tuck these in a drawer or a toy bag with no problems.

These arrived in a small, see through plastic bag, with just a small tag attached to them letting me know about the lifetime guarantee, and that I could maintain the grommits with clear nail polish if I so desired.

We really love these cuffs, as well as the added exposure I feel when I have my wrists secured above my head. It makes me feel naked and sexy in a whole new way.
