Talk about spiky!

This is a great toy for sensation play, creating a path of pin pricks along the skin, or for those who take part in medical play, this is an actual medical device used to stimulate nerve response. Try it with a bound partner whose feet are ticklish, run it along the bottoms of their feet!

Pros:
Great for sensation play, useful for temperature play, and for teasing freshly flogged skin

extremely useful review
This is a case of perverting a medical device, and it works oh so well! The spikes on this little wheel provide a great pricking feeling. If little to no pressure is used, you get the feeling of the pin pricks without breaking the skin, but, with moderate to heavy pressure, this little wheel can and will break the skin! So, be careful if you are not sure how your partner feels about blood letting.

For such a small toy, it is awesome for sensation play! It is best when used on fresh flogged skin where the blood has been brought up to the surface, making the skin super sensitive. This wheel can be used along your skin either slowly or quickly, creating different sensations for the person it is being done to. When used on a (consensually) helpless partner who is also blindfolded, the sensations created by this wheel are heightened.

Because of the nature of this toy, when the wheel is used on a person's skin, be sure the wheel is moving, or the spikes can cause a medical emergency by slicing into the skin, they are that sharp! If the wheel is moving freely, it is a great effect!

The "pain" caused by the points of the wheel are about the same as the pins and needles feeling you get when one of your limbs falls asleep. If you have sensitive skin that is marked easily, you may see the track of this wheel on your skin for an hour or so after its use.

Because the wheel is metal, it can be used in temperature play as well, being heated with hot water or frozen by placing it in the freezer for a few minutes before its use. When used on thin, sensitive skin such as the hollow under your arm or the base of a woman's breast, it creates a different feeling then it would on thicker, less sensitive skin such as the space between a woman's breasts or around the belly button.

This wheel is very easy to clean. Dipping it in a small cup of fresh rubbing alcohol for at least 2 minutes is the easiest and best way to clean it, being sure to do this after each and every use is important, especially if it will be used on multiple people. Be sure to clean it between each person, even if the skin is not broken, just as a precaution, because of the very nature of this toy. After removing it from the rubbing alcohol, wipe it off with a clean, lint free cloth, drying each spike on its own.

Be sure to store this tool carefully as it can break the skin if it is open in a drawer or toy box. If you do not have a sleeve for it, just take a clean, dry cloth and wrap it around the top of this toy, securing with a rubber band, to cover the spikes.
Follow-up commentary
After a few months, and being able to use this tool a lot more, I have discovered, I still love it!
As my Partner has gotten more confident with using this tool, he has been able to elicit many more responses out of me! It still leaves me with a shiver and tingle when I see the pinwheel come my way, and when I feel that first hint of cold metal, it gets all of my senses tingling.
We have started to explore temperature play, and my Partner has been experimenting with different ways to use the pinwheel to play with hot and cold. Popping this tool in the freezer for a few moments will allow the pinwheel to become very cold, and leaving it under a desk lamp will allow the metal to become hot. Just be sure the person using the tool has a way to prevent burns or freezing when holding the metal handle.
Cleaning is still very easy with this tool. Rust does not seem like an issue yet (we use and clean this tool at least weekly). When I redesigned our playroom recently, I decided to explore other options for storage. Since we have two pinwheels plus knives and other metal tools (nipple clamps, scissors, etc) I got a plastic pencil box fom the school supply section of the store, and we use that. This has kept things organized and prevents unwanted sticks from the points of the pinwheel. Plus, used tools can be placed in the open, attached lid during play so they can be cleaned before being put away.

I've had this toy for a while, but I've yet to actually have someone to use it on. I've tested it out on myself, and those spikes could draw blood depending on the pressure.

Yes, drawing blood is a concern. That actually happened at the last community event we attended locally, someone wasusing a pinwheel on a friend and he drew blood. Because of that, this is not a toy we tend to share and Master is the only one who uses it on me and it is cleaned every single time it is used.
