The Corset Restraint: Just A Little of Each!

This is cute, but not very constricting. It could be fun for some light bondage play, or in addition to other restraints. Consider your measurements carefully before ordering.

Use

This corset restraint (which is more like a wide elastic belt than a 'corset') would be great for any couple looking to spice up their "sexytime" with a little light bondage. The wrist restraints are snug but not scary; they're stretchy, perfect for beginners.

The style of this piece is very sexy, and although it's not going to work on its own for serious bondage aficionados, it can be used in combination with other restraints to increase the effectiveness.

Try this on and model it as a sexy surprise to give your lover some fun new ideas, or for a sexy photo shoot!

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

This corset belt is a good size for an average-sized person. If you have a very small OR very large waist or wrists, this isn't going to work for you. I normally wear a 6-8, and this was not tight around my waist at all. It did fit snugly around my hips, but there is no way to KEEP the belt down that low.
Anyone who wears smaller than 6 should think twice about ordering this as a "restraint" or constricting device.

The belt is 19" when laid flat, but stretches considerably. Sportsheets states that "one size fits most" and that this will fit up to a size 20 (which is about a 38" waist). The wrist restraints are about 3" across, but very stretchy.

The lace-up patent leather panel in the front can be adjusted to add about another 3 inches, although it looks much nicer when laced tightly.

Performance

The corset restraint is easy to use, and is stretchy yet strong. The attached wrist cuffs are firm as well, due to their smaller circumference. This was NOT as restrictive as we hoped, and tended to migrate towards my waist, where it was loose.

The packaging suggests an alternate use for this -- as a belt! Turn it inside out so the cuffs are hidden, and you have a wide, stylish belt. Of course, if you run into a "play" situation you'll be ready with your secret kinky belt!!

In general, the corset restraint is lightweight, and can be tossed in your purse or travel bag, and could easily be mistaken for a belt, which makes it great for travel!

Care and Maintenance

Spot-cleaning only is recommended, but this could be machine washed in a lingerie bag on gentle cycle, or just hand washed and air dried. Definitely DO NOT put this in the dryer, the patent leather will MELT.
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The Elastabind Corset Restraint is packaged in a cardboard box with photos of nude models, male and female. She's wearing the restraint (covering most of her ass) and he's about to ravage her. This is definitely NOT discreet packaging.

Personal comments

I think that using this in conjunction with some sort of wrist cuffs would increase the "bondage level" quite a bit. After putting this on, if the restrainee's wrists were then attached to each other with rope/cuffs, this could be inescapeable, and would make this toy more fun for advanced users.

Experience

My experience with the corset restraint is that it wasn't much of either. It wasn't very constricting around my waist, and the cuffs were easily escapeable. This may not be true for everyone, though, as I have small wrists and hands. When pulled down around my hips like the photo on the package, the belt was tighter, but that position definitely allowed for easier removal of my hands.
Follow-up commentary
This has gotten zero use since I reviewed it. It didn't seem to fit correctly, so we just never used it again. I will say that if you want to travel with it, it's VERY COMPACT and light (and easy to lose. ahem.).

Thanks a lot for discussing fit. I'm a bit petite myself so I doubt this would be useful for my frame.
