After our first experiment with a flogger (a rubber one on the end of a plug), my husband suggested we get another one. I was happy to oblige. The Fluffy Flogger looked intriguing, and I was sure it would provide a different sensation than rubber.

The Fluffy Flogger by Ruff Doggie Styles is a beautiful, well-made flogger. It comes in 2 color combinations, black and pink, and black and white. I chose the black and white one to coordinate more with my “spank me” lingerie. The flogger arrived wrapped in plastic. It has that wonderful leather scent to it. The craftsmanship on this is very nice, and this piece has been made to last. The braided black and white wrist strap is tightly woven, as are the black knobs and the black and white checkerboard pattern on the handle, which measures 9” in length.

The Fluffy Flogger is large – about 30” from tip to tip. The actual flogging part is 21”. Twenty-four black leather/suede straps, called falls, hang down on the outside from the handle, and 11 white fake fur straps hang down from inside the leather straps. These fur straps are soft and sensuous to the touch. The leather can be cleaned by gently wiping with a damp cloth and a mild soap, if necessary. Although the fur is washable, I wouldn’t recommend throwing this in the washing machine. Simply wipe the fur down with a damp cloth to clean.

We were eager to try this out, so I presented myself to be tied down in a black leather number. With my back and butt exposed, my husband first used the flogger gently up and down my back. It was a very pleasant sensation, and the fur falls tickled me up and down my back. Since this was our first time using a flogger of this size and material, my husband started gently, and the leather falls made a nice thwapping sound on my flesh. Even when he swung it more forcefully it never hurt too much until the falls landed between my legs and on my exposed pussy. That did have a sting to it! We tried using this with me up against a wall as well, and that allowed my husband to get more force behind his strokes. I found afterward that it left some light marks, but nothing that didn’t fade soon.

The Fluffy Flogger is a fun toy for beginning BDSM play. It’s not as harsh as leather alone, and has a nice sensuous feel as well, so your partner can caress and tickle you with it. We will be using this flogger for some time to come.
