Master collar - sex toy by Spartacus - review by Breas

If you are a BDSM veteran, or have been practicing BDSM for a while, you may find this collar pointless, since a master “wouldn’t wear a collar”. I guess because this is below him/her… I understand this completely, so this collar may not be something you’d be interested in.

However, for my partner and I, we are just starting out with trying BDSM. We purchased both the slave collar available here at EF, as well as this master collar. We decided that this would be a perfect starter set for beginners, because it would allow us to know when we were in a role, and when we were finished. These collars are inexpensive, and a great way to “wear your role” without investing in larger, more expensive pieces that you would get once you become more experienced, and get more into the roles and scenes with your partner.

The Master collar is made the exact same way as the slave collar. The only differences between the two are the metal letters that make up the word on the front of it.

There are two sizes available for the width of the collar: 1 and ½ inches, and the other is ¾ inches. We purchased the ¾ size, but now I wish we purchased the thicker collar for my partner (just for differentiation between the collars, more than just the word on it).

The Master collar came packaged in a long, thin plastic bag to protect the collar when being shipped. There were no text or photos on the packaging. The plastic bag is merely for protection of the product.

The collar is made of leather, and is adjustable with 4 snap closures to choose from. The collar will fit a 13-16inch neck comfortably, depending on the closure you use.



The lettering on the Master collar seems to be a bit unaligned as you’ll be able to see in the photo below. It’s not terribly unaligned, but the letter “A” seems to be a bit lower then the other letters, and the “R” is a bit slanted. I assume that not all of the collars are like this; it just depends on the batch it was manufactured with. (the wet mark on the collar in the photos are just because I had finished wiping down the product and it had not yet dried).





The lettering on the collar is secure, so you should not have a problem with any letters becoming unattached. The snap closures are also very secure when being worn, so it will stay on your neck during usage (unless of course, your partner tugs it extremely hard around the closure area). The material of the collar (leather) is very comfortable on the neck and does not irritate the skin.

When you need to clean the collar, just use a cloth with warm water, and soap when needed. The collar is extremely simple to clean.

Both my partner and I give this collar a 5 out of 5. It’s comfortable, easy to clean, fits well, is affordable, and great for us beginners.

I would be more likely to recommend this product to beginners of BDSM, but if you are a BDSM veteran and don’t have a problem with the master wearing a collar, I’d recommend it to you as well.

We still love the Master collar that we purchased along with the Slave collar. The master collar does not get used as much as the slave collar, but we like that it's on our night stand for the times either of us feel like wearing it. The snap closures and the lettering on the front of the collar are still in excellent shape and still very secure on the collar. There has been no fraying/cracking/etc of the material since the review. We are still very happy that we made this purchase.
