For the beginners, the booklet gives a wonderful quick walk-through into the world of BDSM, and contains several scene starters to get the creative juices flowing. A word of caution to the inexperienced, the whip packs a serious bite. If you are unfamiliar with the sting of a whip, please be careful, otherwise you may have a crying sub instead of an excited one!

All the items in this BDSM kit are made of leather, and it's easy to tell when you open it up that it is high quality leather. The pieces all have the lovely smell of leather, and have the marks of a master craftsman. I love every item in this kit, and Master and I use them a lot. All the pieces are very durable, and can stand up to very rough play. I am so happy to have something made by Leatherbeaten, their reputation is impeccable, and it's easy to see once you use their toys, the price is well worth it to have quality pieces to add to your toy box.

I wear the collar every day, and it has been tugged on quite roughly with no signs of wear or tearing. It fits very well, and can accommodate a variety of neck sizes. My neck is quite small, so there is a long piece that hangs over. It is about 1/2" in width, so it doesn't deter any movement at all. It's very sexy, and makes me feel very submissive. The small ring on the front of the collar can easily be hooked to rope, a leash, or a chain. It doesn't irritate or chafe my skin in any way, and is very comfortable. I can easily wear it for hours everyday.

The wrist cuffs are a little more extravagant, and have nice fluffy cushions under the leather straps. It also has a nice eastern design on it, that have a sexy appeal to them. These cuffs are just as comfortable as the collar, and I wear these about every 2 or 3 days. Like the collar fit, my wrists are quite small, and there is a long flap that hangs out. Even though this is irritating to me, these cuffs can fit on most anyone. The durability is great, and they can stand up to any unnecessary roughness you throw at them. They don't spin around a lot, and the rings on them are a little bigger than the ring on the collar, so they can be attached to just about anything, and they are large enough to fit several fingers through them.

The blindfold has the same eastern design as the cuffs, and it also has the same cushy feel. The elastic band that holds it in place does a great job, and I saw no problems with it moving around. It's very comfortable to wear, and easily covers the eyes completely.

The whip was quite a surprise to me. It's not overly small, but it's not quite medium either. It's made of high quality leather, and has a long plastic handle. This whip fits quite easily in Master's hand, and it's not difficult for him to cause some serious pain when he wields it. It's so soft and pretty, you don't expect it to do so much damage, so I have to caution the less experienced players to go slowly with this toy. It can and will cause quite a lot of pain.

Master and I love everything in this kit, and every piece performs exactly as you would expect any item to perform from Leatherbeaten. As I've already stated, I wear the collar daily, and use the cuffs and whip several times a week. I haven't noticed any flaws at all in the leather or performance. The only thing I would say is a negative for me, is the fact that I'm so small, the leather hangs over quite a bit on the collar and the cuffs. Of course, this is not due to any manufacturing issues, and it's a great plus for the couple who may switch, and need to change the size you wear them at. This kit has set me on a road of obsession for Leatherbeaten products! I'm so glad I have this kit.

Care and maintenance of the leather products in this kit is simple. If they get any kind of bodily fluids or lube or other liquid, just quickly wipe it off with a damp cloth.

This kit comes in a plastic clamshell case, and it could easily be used as a storage case to keep your kit in one place, especially if you plan on traveling with the kit. It also comes with a booklet that gives a quick run down about BDSM, and easy ways to get started playing.
