This paddle is a fun toy that packs a wallop. If you love pain or love dealing pain, this paddle will take your kink to the next level. The sting from using this paddle is no joke. The split leather flaps really crack on impact. Because of how harsh the sting from this paddle is, I wouldn't recommend it for beginners, who are prone to dealing heavy damage to partners due to inexperience. Someone who knows the ups and downs of paddling or being paddled would have a better time gauging how to swing this thing. Definitely do not spank areas other than butt or maybe the back of the thighs with this.

The leather seems to be durable enough to withstand extensive use, but I do worry about the papery little red slip in between the paddle flaps. I'm afraid to tug it too hard for fear of it ripping.

While the paddle is intense, getting "slut" to actually show up takes a lot of force. This can be a little intimidating, even for me. Perhaps it's best to use this paddle as a novelty or decoration, unless you just really like the way it stings.
If you just use it purely as a paddle, it makes spanking almost effortless because the paddle tends to do all the work. The leather flaps slap together and intensify the impact.

Leather in general is low maintenance, but in this case you might want to be careful about how you store this paddle. The leather is prone to creasing and bending. Funny story time: This paddle comes with the barest of minimums in regard to discreetness of packaging. It's just covered with a thin layer of plastic and has a printed label attached to the strap at the end. When the mail man came to deliver my box of goodies, one end wasn't sealed. As he turned it over a little, the paddle came falling out while I was standing right there. He quickly tried to push it back in the box, but I know he saw the word "slut" on the paddle. I was mortified. I laugh about it for sure, but it was definitely an embarrassing situation.
