Viper tongue - flogging toy by Spartacus - review by Airen Wolf

EdenFantasys offers a wide range of floggers, slappers, and crops that are aimed at the bedroom enthusiast. They CAN offer a whallop of an experience but generally they require significant force or know how to leave lovely red marks, bruises and other evidence that one has been disciplined. The Viper Tongue by Spartacus is NOT one of these types of slappers. So, you have been warned! The split tail nature of this whip takes very little force to leave an amazing red stripe on your victim's skin. This little baby could indeed blister if it is used with thekind of force normally called for with a less intense product.

This is one well made and sturdy whip. It begins with a large 1.5 inch wide silver D ring that is perfect for storing the whip or hanging on a belt. The entire Viper Tongue is made of medium weight, good quality, black leather. It smells incredible and for those like me who are borderline leather fetishists it is a real turn on.
The entire whip measures nearly 22 inches with 5 inches being the handle and the split tongue portion of the whip measures 17 inches. At it's widest point the whip measures in at nearly 2 inches.

The whip is made from one piece of leather withthe handle doubled over and stitched firmly to itself. The stitching is even and well finished. This doubling of the leather creates a stiff handle that is large enough to fit easily in a variety of hands without strain. This is a lightweight whip (1 pound) with most of the weight being in the handle which ultimately means that you have a whip that will snap if you flick the wrist at the end of the stroke. It will leave a mark if you do this and it doesn't cause wrist/arm strain during longer sessions.

Please be aware that this whip can deliver large amounts of pain with little force behind the swing. Practice your swing on yourself first and then go easy on your partner paying close attention to their visible reaction before ratcheting up the power. It is perfect for buttocks, thighs, calves, bottoms of the feet, upper back, basically anywhere there is sufficient padding. The whip can be used effectively on the breasts but the user would want to slowly increase the amount of force on this tender area. I do not recommend this for use near the face or on areas of the body that are not so fleshy.
Persons that know they do not like sharp, stinging type blows should probably look elsewhere as this will not deliver a thump like a wide paddle or bushy flogger will. Also be aware that this whip will leave marks with fairly little force so if your partner doesn't like to be marked up after a session you might want to look elsewhere, or take it really slowly!

This is a good quality leather toy so you will want to keep it away from water or other fluids. It can be cleaned with some leather cleaner should it need it. If other fluids should get on your whip simply wipe it down with a soft absorbent cloth and allow it to dry fully.
Store the Viper Tongue out of direct sunlight to prevent cracking and peeling. It can be stored lying flat in a drawer or hung by the D ring in the handle.

When I first showed this to Sigel his eyes went wide and he said it was a beautiful whip. He also asked if I was out of my mind for wanting to use it! I bought it for him, however, as he likes a more stining type pain and he has come to love this little Viper. It will leave lovely marks and stripes but I try not to do this too often as he isn't all that into seeing 'evidence' after the fact.

OUCH is the word most often used to describe this vicious little piece of flogging equipment! It stings, can leave marks, and has held up amazingly well to rough use. If you want a more whip-like tool then this is your best bet!
