Not everything is for everybody. Some people really love anal play while others are not comfortable with it. This does not make it wrong but rather a matter of taste. I believe this is how I feel about gags, they are not just my cup of tea. I have enjoyed my excursion wife my wire into light bondage play but I believe I have just hit my first wall of what I am not ready for. I say all of this not as a negative for this toy but just to be honest with how I felt about this toy. Any other critiques I have about this toy have nothing to do with the fact that I did not like the ball gag as a category but specific characteristics that I thought could have been better.
The first thing that strikes you about this to is the price. Right now this toy is only $11.99 on the EF website. This is a great price for someone who is looking to venture into the world of ball gags. This toy is simple and effective. The straps are made of leather and would seem to hold up for quite a while. The main problem is the rubber material of the ball. It smells and tastes like a cheap rubber bouncy ball from a Wal-mart .25 machine. Maybe you like that kinda thing, but for us it was a deal breaker.
Overall, this would be a great toy if we could get over the smell and taste. This toy was perfect for us because we tried it and realized that the ball gag type toy was not for us. If you want to try a ball gag for the first time, this is not a bad option simply because of the low price.

We ended up throwing this away due to strong taste and smell. Also it was a little too big for my wife. We will probably try a smaller more beginner-friendly ball later.

I'm actually of the opinion that when trying out a new thing, one should actually get something of quality, rather than something cheaper. So many women think "Vibrators don't get me off." Simply because they bought a cheap, inferior one.
Maybe starting with this ball gag gave you the same impression.
A better quality of anything is best to start with. JMO.

I don't think I'd want to use something that tasted. Icky. I agree though - trying out a higher-quality one will probably change your mind.
