Tickle Me Silly
I absolutely love feathers and Sportsheets has given us a new way to play with them. The longer handle makes controlling it easier than most and lets you get in a few light taps as well.Published: July 28, 2011
Pros:
Inexpensive, great for sensation play
Cons:
None
The Starburst Fantasy Feather Body Tickler from Sportsheets is definately a must have for anyone who enjoys dabbling in textures and sensation play. I enjoy anything that I can close my eyes and have my husband spend time exploring my body and I his. This tickler is just another fine example of how Sportsheets puts time, thought and planning into their products.
This feather tickler is about 22" long. It has a plastic handle that is 16" long and gives you enough length that you can trail it all over your lover. The feathers are between 5" and 5 1/2" long with long feathers at the end and down at the base, where they are connected to the handle. With the handle on these being longer than most, you can lightly whip your partner with it as well. Just use caution so you don't harm the tickler or your lover.
The colors are vibrant and beautifully eye-catching. You can get this feather tickler in six different colors. Red, Grape, Violet, Rose, Brown and Black. I chose the Grape to match my bedroom. The longer feathers have an iridescent hue to them and the down feathers are a bright purple. They are sewn together and then (I am assuming) hot-glued into the handle base. They are attached pretty firmly and I haven't had any fall out.
Feathers are so sensitive to fluids because they loose their water-proof quality once they are removed from the birds. It is important to keep them free of water, sweat, lubes or other body fluids.
Feathers are also quite tricky to clean because you shouldn't get them wet and they do attract dust. I have a few feathered items and I have learned a few great ways to clean them. The first is by using a baby brush, as the bristles are so gentle. The second is with a soft artists paintbrush. Hold the feathers toward the base and brush gently toward the tip. Flip it over and do the same to the other side. This allows you to "dust" your feathers without ruining their beauty.
This tickler arrived just rattling around in the shipping box. There was nothing protecting it. It has a cardboard sheet attached to the handle telling you what it is on the front and a few sexy hints on the back.

Thanks for the review. Love the information about how to clean your feathers. I shall have to remember it.
Thanks for the good review.
Thanks, someone told me how to clean them a long time ago because I had mandellas that cost like 60 bucks to get drycleaned and they couldn't guarantee not to damage the feathers. I tried it and it works the best of anything else I've tried.
