The Japanese bondage rope by Doc Johnson was an excellent crafted rope. It was surprisingly long and came with some knot ideas in the packaging. As a novice with knots (somehow I missed that in girl-scouts), I was able to find some excellent free resources (e.g. demos) on the internet. My rope was black and the fabric was soft. Given it's length, there are a variety of knots you can try and limbs that you can tie together. As someone who enjoys a little restraint, I cannot emphasize how important good quality material is and I was not disappointed by this product.

The rope was put to immediate use, and I was able to experience both being tied up as well as tying someone else. Both were highly enjoyable, although I recommend knowing something about tying knots before hand. Due to the lengthiness of the rope, it might kill the mood to be sifting through it only to know what to do once you have it properly in your hands. Furthermore, storage of the rope means keeping it untangled because otherwise you will have a real mess on your hands.
