These satin cuffs have been designed to restrain wrists for BDSM play, but due to their size I also think that they could be used as ankle restraints for some. Due to their somewhat delicate construction, these would be be best used for light BDSM. These could be hooked around a bed frame, but the wearer should be careful to not pull too much on these cuffs, which may damage them. Though the Velcro makes these cuffs adjustable, these cuffs will probably work best for people with average to large wrists.

These cuffs are attractive in appearance but otherwise have some major flaws. I loved the black satin ribbon that laces up the cuffs, which mimics the lacing of a corset. They are very sexy looking and also very comfortable. There is also a clip on one of the cuffs that you can use to hook the two cuffs together, which I found to be helpful.

These cuffs were much too large, however. When lining up the Velcro on the very ends so that the cuffs were as tight as they could go, these were still too large and my wrists slipped right through. I'll admit, I have pretty dainty wrists, but I was hoping that these would still work to some extent. I also tried these on my partner, who has somewhat bigger wrists than I do. When wrapping the Velcro tightly, these did stay put for her.

If you overlap the Velcro, however, which will be necessary if your wrists are of average size or smaller, the Velcro attaches to the cuffs and ruins the satin, pulling the threads loose. After one use of these cuffs, they already look pretty worn and will probably not last very long.

These restraints go on quickly, which is a plus, but they did not meet our particular needs because of their sizing. While these cuffs are very pretty to look at and very comfortable, they may not fare well in heavier BDSM situations, where something sturdier would be recommended. These function decently to give the wearer the feeling of being restrained, but do not perform very well as a means to actually restrain a partner.

If washing is desired, these cuffs should be hand washed and air dried.
