Thighcuffs - sex toy by Sportsheets - review by Liz NuMe

I have been interested in getting Sportsheets thighcuffs ever since I saw them in one of Sportsheet's promotional videos. I thought it sure would be nice to have something to hold my thighs up and out of the way besides my hands and arms. That way they would be free to do other things. And I have to admit at my age it is just a teensy bit more difficult to keep them up near my shoulders without any assistance. Besides, my husband thought it would be really hot to restrain me in that position, unable to move my legs, while he teased me mercilessly. So of course I was excited to finally be getting these. And I have to say, I like them even more than I thought I would.

The Sportsheets Thighcuffs come in hard plastic packaging with your typical porn type paper insert. Fortunately it's not the type of plastic packaging that you have to cut open, it just pops open. So should you desire to use it for storing your cuffs, you can.

The cuffs are made of Neoprene, which is a synthetic rubber fabric. It's soft, stretchy and somewhat spongy, yet very strong. I found the neoprene to be extremely comfortable. Even after having them on for quite a while and my doing bit of squirming and struggling against them, I didn't feel they rubbed or chafed at all. They also were able to hold well without cutting off my circulation.

Across the top of the neoprene is a sturdy nylon strap. There is a decent amount of nylon. Sportsheets says that it will fit thighs up to 30 inches. This is sewn down very well and I believe it should last for years.

At one end of the cuff is a plastic buckle that the nylon is fed through. This is where you adjust the size and tightness on your thighs. All you have to do is position it where you want to and pull on the strap. When you need to release it, just lift one end of the buckle and pull back. But don't' worry, they stay put very well and will not come loose unless you want them to.

At the other end of the cuff is a metal O-ring, with a metal snap hook attached to it. You can use the snap hook to attach it to wrist cuffs, the anchor pads on Sportsheets Bondage Bed Sheets or the Under the Bed Restraint System. If you don't have any of these, then rope or other types of tethers can be fed through, or tied to the O-rings and attached to a headboard or whatever your tying your partner to.

When my husband used them on me, he attached the thighcuffs to our wristcuffs, then tethered them both to each side of our headboard. I was definitely immobile and completely at his mercy. But I do love how easy it was to just let my legs rest in the cuffs. I didn't have to use my muscles or my strength to hold my legs in place.

Finally I have to say I really love Sportsheets products, especially the restraints. They're very well made and decently priced. But I especially love that even though each of their products works well individually, you can build a collection that all works together to create whatever your fantasies desire.
