The Interchangeable Crop Top System by Sportsheets could very well be all that the average player needs in a crop. It has a sturdy and substantial handle and a choice of three tops that firmly slide in to the end of the crop. You have the choice of a hand in reddish brown leather, a wedge shape in black leather, and a heart shape in purple leather.

The crop itself is 20.5 inches long which provides ample room to be used as a crop without the topper. The base of the crop looks to be composed of a pencil thin but very sturdy metal tube. At the very end of the metal tube is a large round, black plastic handle (approx. 1 inch across) that has 'Sportsheets' printed on it. The black plastic end piece fits over the PVC wrap that forms a slip proof handle. It is all one piece but is textured to resemble a piece of leather wrapped around the shaft. The end piece is very firmly attached to the crop. The textured handle is approximately 7 inches long and is approximately 2 inches around.

At the top of the handle is a wrist strap made of soft, black PVC that measures 6.5 inches. It is thin, but not thin enough that there is a danger of it breaking if the crop is stored by hanging it by the strap. It will fit around just about any size wrist easily.

The textured plastic piece is fitted over a braided nylon that is amazing as a spanking tool. It provides stability for the shaft of the crop leaving the user with a flexible but totally unforgiving crop. It lessens the impact a bare metal rod would give as well. This is a thin crop and delivers one hell of a stinging blow. It will leave marks if it is used without a topper but it's great for inner and upper thighs and buttocks.
The tip of the crop is smooth metal and hollow to allow the tip of the various toppers to slide inside.

Each of the toppers is made of good quality leather and the edges are smooth and sturdy. They will stand up to quite a bit of abuse! They should be stored out of direct sunlight and kept dry to prevent mold and mildew. If they get fluids on them a wipe with a soft dry cloth should be all that is necessary.
The toppers fit on the handle of the crop firmly but slide off easily when you are done playing. They won't pop off during play and don't cause the toy to bow or bend when they impact on the skin.

The black leather wedge shape is the shortest of the three toppers available with this kit. It measures in at approximately 6.5 inches in total length, adding to the length of the crop about 5 solid inches. It is around 2.25 inches across which doesn't give much surface to spread out a blow but it does grant a bit of a reprieve to your 'victim'. The wedge is composed of one piece of leather doubled over and stitched to the metal stem. The edges of the leather are further wrapped in fabric tape that is seamless and firmly attaches the slapper to the stem. The wedge is very flexible and delivers a great slap. It can be gentle or fairly fierce.

The brown leather hand is the medium length topper measuring in at 6.75 inches approximately. It adds just a touch more length to the crop. The hand measures bout 2.25 inches across just as the wedge does but it is firmer and has less give. You can get a really good strike with this topper! It is composed of three layers of leather stitched to resemble a hand and is also firmly attached to the metal stem. The hand is less flexible than the wedge and can deliver quite a stinging blow. It is great for tapping a small area such as the nipples. While it can be pretty fierce I prefer it used on the soles of the feet.

The final topper is a heart with purple stitching firmly finishing the edges of the leather and attaching the heart to the metal stem. It is attached the same as the other toppers and measures a little over 3 inches across. This topper is best at spreading the blow and can be a really great little slapper for someone who doesn't crave really intense pain. Though to be fair in the hands of an experienced player it can leave a pretty outline of a heart on some tender skin! It has a medium flexibility and is also great for tapping as well as outright slapping.

I fully expected to use these as a novelty and then put them on display. They just don't look all that sturdy in the pictures but the idea of cute toppers to my crop intrigued me. I found that the crop has the flexibility that allows for a great swish and the impact is as intense as thin cane but more sturdy. If the user concentrates on the topper it will not pop off or break off on impact.
This is one intense toy for impact play and the user would be wise to go slow and gauge the reaction of their partner before ratcheting up the force. It will leave marks if the crop portion is used and can leave marks with the topper.
This is best used on fleshy parts of the body. The less flexible crop portion could be really painful over bone though the toppers are flexible enough that they can be used pretty near anywhere. We have found them to be amazing for light and careful CBT, breast play, general genital impact play and of course the good old fashioned spanking.
The length of the crop makes it great for standing impact play but it can be a bit less manageable for close play. The smaller and more maneageable Mini Crop Top System is perfect for on the bed play.

This crop system looks like what it is, a cute crop for impact play. It isn't particularly travel friendly though it can be dismantled and hidden fairly easily amoung clothing while traveling or even at home. I wouldn't suggest trying to take this onto a plane in your carry on as it can be used as a weapon!

I still LOVE this system. I normally don't really like crops but this system and I have had many adventures. It has held up amazingly well and doesn't show much in terms of wear and tear. All of the pieces are still firmly stitched together and the PVC crop is still unbent.
I highly recommend this set for it's whimsy and practicality.
