The title speaks for itself: Beginner's Bondage. This kit is designed for those just dipping their toes in the waters of bondage, so this set was great for us to start fulfilling my fantasies. I made myself comfortable with the wrist ties and blindfold and then, when my hubby used them, I was at perfect peace. The bands are soft, faux fur that was comfortable enough to last throughout a lengthy session. The cuffs have a broad expansion range and could be used by both smaller wrists/ankles and larger. We used the kit for vertical (360) play, and you are able to adjust the length to any size you desire, so it works great on the bedposts as well.

I loved the comfort that, if I needed to use a safe word, he could release me quickly at any moment without any fumbling. I also felt that I could probably work my fingers to release the straps, but it would take some effort if I really wanted out. The cuffs and blindfold fold up so nicely that we feel we can pack it away discreetly in its original package under a shirt in our suitcase, and take our fun with us.

The set comes with four cuffs and a blindfold. All four cuffs are the same size and are intended to be used on either the wrists or the ankles. There is velcro sewn to the faux fur stipts, allowing them to be adjustable and fit most any size wrist/ankles with its 10 1/2" length cuff (which could be comfortably expanded a little more if necessary). The blinfold is designed to cover most of the eye area with its 8 1/2" width, and the 12 1/2" elastic allows it to expand to fit most any size head.

The tethers are 44" in length and have enough texture in the grain that the straps did not come loose easily and held their knots well. I played with it when it arrived and tried pulling the velcro loose to no avail. The tether straps are only an inch wide, so they easily fit through the screw eyes my husband installed and would easily tie to bedposts without leaving marks and would remain secure. I loved the strength combined with comfort.

I was pleased with the performance of this bondage kit. Since the cuffs were designed to be used for wrists/ankles, they are too short for use on any other part of the body. The cuffs could be clipped together for holding the ankles or wrists together.

There is no problem with confusing the wrist cuff from the ankle because they were all the same size. My husband prepared the straps beforehand so that all he would have to do when we were ready was to easily wrap the cuff around my wrist/ankle and secure the velcro. He tested them to see if they would withstand my pulling, and he was convinced they would. I pulled and wriggled (trust me), and the straps didn't budge. My senses were extremely heightened throughout, and it made the climax incredible! When it was over, I didn't even have any red marks on my arm, and the straps were so comfortable that my focus was on what was happening and not discomfort from restraints. The straps never tangled. Since this set for beginners, it isn't designed for more advance play where some forethought would be necessary.

There were no instructions on care and maintenance. I store mine in the package, so it is well protected. If it should become dirty, the fabric is washable material, so you should be able to place it in a lingerie bag (to prevent the tethers getting tangled/caught and ripping off) and machine wash it. I wouldn't dry it in the dryer as shrinkage could occur. This material cannot be sterilized, so it should be single-couple use should bodily fluids get on it. When you're finished, simply fold the cuffs and blindfold and place them back in their package and they are easily hidden in a drawer.

The packaging was simple and concise. I kept the plastic it came in and folded the cuffs back up and put them away. I didn't feel the photo was discreet, so I took the paper insert out and threw it away. I don't think there were any instructions necessary, but cleaning instructions would have been nice. The package fits flat and discreetly tucked away in the bottom of a drawer.

I have been begging my hubby to tie me up for some time, and when he saw this non-intimidating set, he wanted to get it right away. When it arrived, he even left work to come home for lunch just to check it out! I wanted a 360 degree experience, so hubby installed screw eyes in a cubby space in our bedroom. I was nervous until I tried them out, and I felt so at ease. I was able to focus on the experience rather than any fears of feeling trapped. The straps were long enough to adjust to a comfortable setting for me. This set gave us both a feeling of comfort as we have stepped into the world of bondage play.
