extremely useful review
The Sex and Mischief line by Sportsheets is full of products designed for light bondage. People brand new to bondage may like them as an introduction. Experienced people who prefer light bondage might also like this line. It is not likely to meet the needs of people into heavy bondage play. It's strictly geared toward light bondage. I have four pieces in the line and have only been disappointed in one product. I have found most of them (this set included) to be an inexpensive way to add fun bondage.

The Sex & Mischief Door Play Cuffs are an all in one piece. You won't ever be hunting for a stray part with these. Just grab it and you're ready to go.

It is designed and clearly marketed as door cuffs. Here is a picture of the cuffs on a door.

It is made out of polypropelyne webbing, velcro, polyester binding, and polyester velboa fabric. It is entirely black. The entire toy is about 19 inches longs. The strap is 1 inch wide and the cuffs are 2 inches wide. It is well made. The stitching is neat and the velcro is centered squarly on the cuffs. They should last for a long time.

The cuffs are the last part. The velcro is adustable so it should fit a variety of wrist sizes. The box claims it will fit 15 inches to 21 inches. Being velcro they are escapable, but only if escape is desired. They do remain securely in place during the action until deliberately taken off. They are fairly soft and comfortable to wear. They don't itch, scratch, or chafe. They might get a bit warm, but that's to be expected.

Now the cuffs themselves are very well made. They can withstand light to moderate play. However you need to make sure your door can handle whatever play your intending. Our bedroom door is not sturdy enough for these. I am afaid we would bust the door down. We do have several stronger doors in the house. We are just careful to use those strong doors.

So, how does it work? The top portion goes over the door. It is just shy of 5 inches long. A couple of layers of material have been folded over and stitched at each end. These provide the door stop. Once it's in place and the door is shut, it is secure. The next part is a strap hanging from the door. It is about 9 inches. It is not adjustable. It will always be 9 inches from the top of the door to the cuffs. Comfort level is going to depend on two things- the height of the door and height of the cuffed person. We have standard size doors, and I am short at 5'2". We haven't had any problems, but your mileage may vary.

The great thing about these is that they are more than just door cuffs. They really are quite versatile. The top portion that goes over the door is actually a looped handle.

It can be placed over a bedpost or chair or anything you can loop around. We also have slipped the top portion under a bench. With a person's weight along on the bench, it holds fast. Another use is with a few small pieces of Liberator positional pillows. They work fine under small pieces like the whirl XT, jaz, and wing. As long as body weight is also on the pillow, the cuffs are secure. Obviously, it is easy to escape with them. For our light purposes they work great. If you want inescapable heavy duty bondage gear you need to look elsewhere. If you want a simple versatile piece this is great. With a bit of imagination and creativity it becomes much more than door cuffs.

If they get soiled, they can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Mild soap would be fine. They are small and store in a drawer easily. You could also hang them on a bedpost of hook if you are comfortable displaying cuffs. We keep ours in a locked case with the rest of our bondage gear.

I am pleased with this purchase. They were inexpensive to begin with and I also bought them on sale for around $7. That's a bargain for the amount of fun we have had with them.
Follow-up commentary
We haven't had these out in a long time. They are cute and easy to use, but we have other things that suit our needs better. We never used them on the door as they were intended. We didn't think our door could handle the stress. They were handy in other places, but ultimately were more of a novelty for us.

These are pretty cool but that looks too short for me for over the door play. Glad it can be used in other ways. Thanks for sharing!
